Turn Signal Ideas...

I just picked up some Luminics Pure Blue bulbs for my headlights and foglights. I love the new look and it inspired me. I am getting a second set of headlights tonight and I am going to either color match them red or black them out. Opinion on which by the way?

Anyways this leaves the turn signals. I hate the orange look completely. I've thought of getting blue LED bulbs, or just Blue bulbs, but i have never seen either of them lit up before. And if I go with those should I paint over the Orange backroung of the headlight when i paint them? Give me some ideas! I want to do this tonight and will post pics.

I personally prefer the "chrome" dipped Amber turn signal bulbs. I don't like the switchbacks and LED bulbs too much due to the need for resistors, but the chrome 3157 bulbs make the Gen4 Projector's and Black headlights look MUCH better IMO:

Ok well this answer is simple you need to get LED switchbacks from VLEDS. And you need resistors- what is so freaking hard about splicing a resistor into 2 wires???

x2 - it takes like another 5 minutes to splice in the resistor haha. I know like nothing about car wiring/electronics and I was able to do it no problem.

The hardest part on mine was finding where to mount the resistor "cage". I love how mine are all the same clean bluish white color.

Thanks guys. Those switchbacks sound awesome and i think ill go with that. I am picking up a new pair of headlights from an 09 for $50 so they wont have the orange on the lens. But what is the deal with the resisters? What do you have to do to install them.. and what happens if you don't use resisters like the previous poster?

What are your opinions on the different kinds? I see three.. regular, type 1, and type 2. Any difference?

Type 1 alternates white and amber when the turn signal is applied
Type 2 only the amber flashes when the turn signal is applied.

With LED turn signal bulbs they flash really fast when you apply your turn signal (you may have seen cars around town where the turn signal is flashing super fast)... the resistors help to resist a small amount of the electrical current going to the bulb which makes it flash at the normal speed... making it not look tacky or odd.

I use these "stealth" bulbs in my front turns. Gets rid of the god awful orange look. I have had them in for 2 years now with no issues at all.
