Two Appearance Questions

Hey guys,

So, I was wondering about modifying two different things on my car. Seen it done on other cars, and it looks really good. Hopefully it can be done, and not for a trillion dollars either..

1. Valve Cover. Right now, mine is all dull. I'm gonna take some rubbing compound and shine it up. But I think it'd look great painted. A gloss color would probably look amazing with the right color. It'd really make the **** pop. If possible, how hard would it be to remove it to do? And a price range?

2. Door Panels. You know, where it's either black/grey cloth or a multitude of leather shades? Yeah. Well redo that. In anything. I had the black cloth interior, but it's now Ion Recaro's. So the black cloth panel looks a bit out of place. I don't have a problem with it, but that's an area that no-one really mods. Not sue if it's because you can't, or because no-one's tried? Is this something you could do yourself? Get the glue and stuff?

Thanks!

I been really wanting to paint my valve cover powder coated red. Would set the engine area off nice. For the door thing it should be easy, just take it to an upholstery place and tell them what you want.

Yeah, I don't really know what it'd want, but I saw this kid use a pattern material from a BAPE jacket. lol. Turned out sick. It's in the new Honda Tuning.. As for the cover, I'm sure it can be done, I'm just not sure on a price / time range.. Can't have the car out for a week while it gets sprayed.. lol.

So I checked a Google search for powder coating.. A place in Pittsburgh, called Prizm, said $40 - $80 for a valve cover.. Since it's professional, probably a day to cure, maybe a hair more..? To remove the cover do you just start unbolting stuff or it it far more technical than that?
