Canada Underglow + BCM

Just wondering does anybody know how to properly tie in the Varad ULX330 in to the Body Control Module (BCM) to get the courtesy light to turn on the underglow, while unlocking or locking your doors? I found the BCM is located in the Center Console, but I don't wanna just start trying into anything.... Please help.

Thanks in advance!

If it will put out enough power, you could tap into either the fuse for the interior lights or the actual switched power wire on the door. You would also want to run a second power wire so that the lights turn on whenever your car turns on too. Because you do want them on while driving right?

You can tap the wire that leads to the door like tommyp2010 said, but I'd be safe and use a relay as well. The BCM can be pretty sensitve, and is not cheap to replace. People will probably disagree and say that you don't need a relay, or that they don't use one... but as far as I'm concerned it's a pretty cheap insurance policy when a BCM is like $500. *shrug*

this is true. I don't know a ton about wiring so I didn't even think of relays. But yes, better safe than sorry. Same reason to use relays on HIDs, even though some people don't think so.

thank you all for the replies! The kit has an on off on it anyways so I can turn them on or off at will. I might just after looking into this more wait till I install my alarm system and just tie into it instead.... a lot less risk I am not the best with wiring as well I'm just glad I can get most of the connections from the stereo wiring harness

Thank you all
