v-led switchbacks
so i just installed my resistors on my switch backs today, one works fine , but i was wondering if you can install them backwards, as one of my switchbacks when i put the signal on the white stays on dimmly when the other side doesnt
could i have tapped into the wrong ground wire or installed the resistor backwards, or is it just the switchback itsself? anyone else have this problem? the one side works fine so i dont get it? |
bump, i wanna fix these today but need to know what the issue is
You have the resistor backwards on the one side. Switch the wires coming from the resistor on the bulb wiring and it should work. Black is ground. Blue is the turn on the right signal and i believe the left is yellow. Haven't had mine apart in a while.
ok its just the resisitor both wires are black so i had no idea whether or not i could install it backwards or not but ill try it out today and see what happens
and on both my turn signals the turn signal wire is blue
splice one end of the resistor to the black (ground wire of the headlight harness) than splice the other end to the turnsignal wire which is blue
yes..thanks...thats how i have it ..
its works how its hokked up now i hve no fast flash but the one side when the signal is turned on the white will stay on dimly while on the other side this does not happen |
Swap the bulbs from right to left, see if the problem follows the bulb, if it does, the bulb is at fault, if it doesn't, the wiring is at fault.
sounds like a plan, thnx man.
so the issue follws the bulb
