yes we definitely need some pics..
very tempting mod...

maybe someone can volunteer to be a "test subject" and get the kit for theirs and then we'd get to see some pics...

and also need a review of pros/cons of the kit, if the door motion is nice and smooth or if it sucks, how well it actually seals still , etc. etc.

Same thing.
The technical term is Scissor doors, but people call em Lambo doors cuz Lamborghini was the one to make em first (i think).

Its like rollerblades and inline skates.

Yea I emailed them to make sure it was a direct bolt on and not something that needs welding... they said it was!... So... I will nominate myself to be the test subject...now all i need is the money for it...lol...

Since I'm in Chicago, winters here suck, but if I start saving, this is definitely going on the Cobalt in Spring '06

I will welcome any donations

I still don't understand the justification behind spending $1,400.00 for Scissor doors. There's a lot better mods you can do to your cobalt for the price then make your doors go straight up.

Because... in the words of the great Dave Chappelle: "I'm rich b!tch!!!"

Naw... I'm just playin... I just think they're cool looking. It's obviously not for everyone. Some people like carbon fiber hoods, some do not. Some people want to put light race wheels on their car, others want 20" chrome... it's all just a matter of preference I suppose

Awwww crap, I really hope you guys don't wanna do this.

its never a direct bolt on
there is alwayssssss cutting drilling and metal working to be done
its not an average car owner kinda thing

it needs to be done by a specialty shop, or else itll open, close, and look like shiat

actually tiny is right they might bolt on but you still have to cut the inner fender plus there is some welding required in most case

1,000 bucks and it looks good
