Vent Visors

I have noticed that out of all the cobalts pics that I have seen on cardomain.com and on cobaltss.net, Not one has the vent visors that goes over the drivers and passengers window frame, now I can get the black tinted ones from local chev dealer for $67 Cdn.
But what I want is the clear ones so I can get them painted Orange to match the car.
I thibnk it would look pretty cool.

Anybody know where to get them?

I'm not 100% knowledgable on painting, but couldn't you paint the blackones if you primered them first?

I had them on my old car. Loved them.
Been waiting to see them on another Cobalt first.
Also been waiting for the Lund VentVisor/VentShade (compared to GM one's) to see which is best.
Aren't they kind of flexible for normal paint?

nah, plastic paint would be fine for em
they dont do enough flexing when they are on the car to make a difference

I emailed WeatherTech who make WeatherFlectors. Instead of using double sided tape they slide right into the window track for a little more clean look. Only problem is that they aren't currently making them for the Cobalt, but maybe if they got a few more emails or fill out an Application Request Form to show them there is interest in this product. I'm sure they're not the only 1 with the visors that fit in the track but thought Id give you guys a heads up.

Cool

I spoke to a Gm autobody tech Myself, and he said he could not paint the tintied visors due to the fact that he couldn't promise a perfect colour match, but he quoted me a price of $84 bucks plus $67cdn for the visors.
so no one has seen the clear visors yet only the dark ones?

I think I might be the only one with Ventshades on my SS. Check out my cardomain link for pics. I got mine at the dealership for like $50USD.

How are they to install? I'm guessing it's 3M double sided tape.

I had those things on my first truck... while leaving the windows down was nice... the wind noise they made while driving was enough to convince me not to buy any more...

If you are going to paint them to match the car colour, you want the clear ones because you paint the INSIDE of the visor so you do not get any stone chips, bug slatter cleans right off, and it is not directly exposed to the elements. Just my opinion but i think the ones that slide inside the window track look MUCH cleaner and less "newfie speed and custom"

hi all, sorry to revive an old post, but has anyone seen or heard of the in-channel vent visors for the sedan?

I called Partsource and I got quoted $78 for a set for the sedan (might be cheaper for the coupe?) They confirmed that the visors are for the inside of the window and are not for the outside with tape.

has anyone heard of these? I'm trying to get the info on the maker and the part number to try to find pictures. just wondering if anyone on here has them and has any pics. I'm trying to decide which way to go...

there was a mistake and the visor are the regular outside vent visors attached by double sided tape....

i'm hoping they make in channel visors soon!

I bought these from WeatherTech and installed them with a little patience. They sit inside of the window channel and are a tight fit. I 2nd what they suggest....install them when its warmer out...I was not very patient and put these on when it was like 20 degrees out.
