Vertical Doors

Hey guys,

i will be ordering a set soon, i'm excited to put it on. for the ones who already have them, can you guys give me some input on tips on what i should expect? i'm car savvy, and a big DIYer. i do tons of custom work, but this will be my first time to do vertical doors.

what are the "bumps in the road" that i should expect?

just take your time and youll be fine... If its a direct fit kit you shouldnt have any issues... Weld on which i suggest because they are stronger thats a whole other story (mind you I dont have them on my car but i do custom work as my job so I know how about they go on)

I just finished doing mine 2 weeks ago...it's pretty straight forward! You have to rewire the doors to extend the wiring harness, roll the inner fender and actually cut the center section away...where the fender mounts to the body. There is a tab that the center of the fender mounts too on the body...that needs to go, on both sides. Aligning the doors is a BITCH by yourself, so be prepared to have an extra hand!
Other than that...piece of ****! Enjoy the new LOOK!!!

I took step by step pics of the whole process if you want extra info on the install...just send me your email, and I'll send them to you.

got mine for 1,000 from vertical doors check out my old pics, pretty much gave them away. get direct bolt on or it will be a pain in the ass to install. take time adjusting roll the fenders to make it easy and never had to rewire at all. got lots of compliments but as a everyday driver it got old fast. if you need help just message me if you need aditional info.

Vertical door inc kit.

you need to cut some of the inside of the fender. You dont have to roll anything. The center tab does not need to be removed.

You do not need to rewire ****. Just pull the door panel off and remove some plastic retainers. there is more then enuf wire in the door to have the doors open.

I actually just put new fenders on. I will take pics tomorrow of what needs to be cut.

it took 2.45 hours on the first door. and 45 mins on the second.

The fender...

there are 2 bolts along the top under the hood.
There is another bolt behind the door at the top.
there are 2 bolts at the bottom under the sideskirt.
There is one bolt at the front where the headlight goes
There is one bolt in the middl eby the door.( you need to undo that one from inside the wheel well.

Then it comes off

Hope that helps

I have a 1 car garage. I have more room up then I do to my sides. Haveing these doors would better allow them to be opened to fully inside my garage. Also, in parking lots when cars are next to you, that you dont have to worry abotu doorbashing.

I cheked at exotic lambo doors and they charge 300 for the kit, i dont know if thats 1 door or both. Thats a pretty big price differance though 300 - 1000 dollors, i hope that the 1000 dollor ones are way better. Pros / Cons of either?

It looks like these things would get in the way of getting in and out of your car. Id rather not put them on my car if it makes it harder for me to get in and out/climb arround

I would recomend only Vertical Door inc or LSD.

Not any of those $300-400 kits

Coupe doors are generally long so it's a pain to get out of in busy parking lots sometimes. Vertical doors would help a lot in those cases.

It's all a personal preference. If it's something you want to do, do it ^_^
