can we not use the hood strut with the cf hood if not what do i use to keep hood open i dont have to custom fab a rod do i

 

a big long piece of wood or a prybar :P

 

I still use the prop, but use it w/o being boltd to the hood. I lift my hood, wedge the prop by my coolant tank and then to part of the cf hood. Mine has a notch in the back that works perfect

 

im sure u can get a cavalier prop rod to fit

 

My buddy uses his, just be careful and its fine.

 

so theres nowhere to bolt up the shock to the cf hood they just couldnt use a prop rod gm pisses me off sometimes (all the time)

so i can keep it bolted to car and it bolts up to cf and as long as i open and close slowly and carefully itll work? if my car ever has to go to the dealership ill prob bring it in with no hood or ill have a broken one with those *********
