Washed my g/f's car today (now turning into NSFW/Dungeon status WAY off topic lol)
NEW DETAIL ON 8/20 CHECK IT OUT!
SO, here's the story:
I detailed my g/f's car today. It looked REALLY good! I noticed in her back seat was a bottle of windshield wiper fluid. So, I decided to be nice and fill her fluid up her for. I pop the hood and OMFG!!!
So after some detailing to it and a LITTLE trim shine, I get this:
**** looks BRAND NEW!
The next morning : the rest of the shine!

Actually she works at a dealership, she get's oil changes for like $6 bucks. The guys take care of her over there. She takes really good care of that car. That's why I was so suprised with the condition of the engine. Everything is clean now.
I used car wash (Eagle 1 Nanowash stuff) and just used a deck brush by hand and then went back over it with a big sponge. Rinsed off and then used som Meguiar's Supreme Shine Protectant.
I owed HER actually from March. Her b'day. So this was me finally getting **** done. I went the extra mile because I put it off for so long.
and it only took me about 3-5 min.

For the record he owes me...he promised me a full detail for my birthday...that was in March. The only reason he's doing it now is because he's trying to detail some cars for extra money. Yes I have been neglecting my car as it has been on alot of dirt roads all summer.
Yes I am grateful that he decided to clean my car but having him *** in my mouth or ****...etc he'd be the one to say no before I would. So instead I will give him something else I know he won't say no to....shake and bake boneless pork chops...

quick couple tid bits of advice next time you do an engine bay......not anything bad but some ideas to help you for the future.
1. use a medium to heavy degreaser. you can reduce it as needed. trust me it works wounders on heavily saturated engines and undercarriages.
2. pick up some small brushes from autogeek or proper car care and it will help get into the realyl small spots and only take you a few extra minutes.
3. do the engine first, let the dressing sit on there through the whole length of working through the car. allows the plastic and rubber parts to abosrb it to keep everything moist and also repel dirt and grime.
i do this process on my boss's 2010 acura rl once a week.....sure enough i didnt wash the car let alone under the hood for 2 months. a matter of taking a damp towel under the engine bay it looked as clean as ever. looks great for the amount of time put into it.
