SHITTTT that paint job is very nice i like the hood a lot. Man your car sat super high before the springs. Also like other have said you should paint the rear drum black and put some more meat on those wheels.

I'd do it, a friend of mine got tired of staring at rusty rotors after he bought 18s for his Sunfire, we just painted them black(matte I think?), came out really well.

Love the paint and the drop really makes it look like a car.

Yes it is. Sorry those pics were at work with my cell phone. I dont have a really good camera. Luckily I ended up putting a flat spot in one of my tires and I have to get new ones.

I had Nitto NeoGens and I liked them but Im always open to other peoples opinions on what tires to go with those are 215/35 18 i was thinking of going with a 45. Im not looking to drop alot on tires but lets try to keep it under 180 a piece

Feel free to give advise on what tires to get

Omg that paint looks absolutely beautiful. Any estimates on how much that would cost to someone without a hook up? I've got a silver LS and I'd want something like that.

And the headlights, were they the stock ones? I'm thinking of baking mine apart to paint some parts black

They are black headlights off ebay because I hit a deer and smashed up one of them. As far as doing it probably around 1000 you have to paint the front and rear bumpers the roof, trunk and hood. That ends up adding up to a good bit. Before i get questions the rear bumper is because I did the little "shelf" on the rear bumper so the black has a nice rounded out look to it and doesnt just stop hard at the trunk. The only thing is you should take the black all the way up on the inside where the bumper the bumper is flat because there is no real good place or way to break the black line without doing that. If that doesnt make any scene just leave a post and ill go out and take some pics.

(Oh these are older so there is no pinstripe on the bumper yet FYI)

ok so i was gonna put my sportlines on last night and ran into some problems. i got the front strut assembly off just fine, but when it came time to take the bolt off the top of the assembly to take out the spring i couldn't budge the thing. the hard part is that the nut is recessed in that black cover and i can't get a wrench in there with the allen at the same time. HOW DID YOU GET IT OFF

I really love that paint job. It looks so nice the way it comes down on the hood to the grille. Very nice!
As for the lowering, it looks better now then the monster truck it was, but bigger rims would make it look even better.

That's not too bad, I'd rather pay that much than painting the car black and having look like a shitton of other Cobalts.

The black headlights are going to be a must for mine, I don't like the chrome surrounds that the stock ones have.

Overall, that's a very beautiful Cobalt. Hopefully mine will turn out somewhat as nice, haha

The way I got them off is used my impact gun with the right size socket (cant remember off the top of my head) It will spin it right off.

The wheels are 18's and im getting bigger tires for it so that will def help fill the rest of the gap in. Thanks again for all your compliments

Just curious, bigger tires with the same size rims won't offset your speedo reading too much, will it? That's always been my concern, I know the other cars I've owned had that happen.

The 3-series I had, its speedo reading was 10 high after I slapped 17s on there.

any increase in the diameter of the rotating mass will affect your speedo.
