Sooo I bought an 06 Cobalt SS/SC in Febuary when my Cavalier got written off. I've always wanted one since they came out. I noticed the paint to be bubbling on the rims when i bought it so i decided to get them powdercoated. And it just got addicting from there haha. I bought it totally stock, and heres what i've done so far.

- Powdercoated rims
- Painted Calipers
- Painted dash and door handles (not rattle canned)
- Chrome SS badges
- Painted front bowtie, removed rear
- Gen3 headlights
- 8000k headlights and foglights
- Billet grille
- Led taillights with impala 3rd brake light
- Tinted windows
- Shorty antenna
- Interceptor gauge
- Autometer cobalt wideband gauge
- Autometer cobalt boost gauge
- ZZP tri pod
- OTTP stage 2
- Devilsown meth
- Dual pass

 

Ill be honest.

Dont like the grill or tailights

Ill still go for wings and beer tho

 

I think the rims should be all black.

Other than that it looks good.

Also not too find of the blue interior trim pieces. If it was a darker blue it's be good.

 

Tasteful mods for the most part. Love it all except for the grille.

 

EVERYONE has black wheels. Tried to match the blue door panels and seats. Didn't want a bunch of diffrent colored blues goin on. Alot of ppl on here don't like grilles haha. Its probably one of my favorite parts. But if everyone was the same it would be pretty boring haha

 

Looks nice man. those are the same tails I ended up getting a while back.

I don't much like the 3rd gens, they make the balt look cross eyed, nor the billet grilles, too blingy. But I love the wheels and the rest of it. Looks REALLY good dude.

Curiously, where did you get your impala 3rd brake light?

tails are lame, stock is still the best imo.

But for me though, the blue is sort of a killer for me. Again though, everything else for the most part looks good.

 

Not bad man. Grille IMO is garish and the wheels i think would be appreciated in person over the pics. Honestly, its clean.

 

Man...I like the way you did the rims...Different from all others! Not too keen on the grill...but I have to say...looks pretty sweet! Good job!

 

Im on the fence about the grilles myself. I like them, but I think the TC grilles look better. And I think black A/C controls and black radio, either stock or after market would polish the interior off. The light tannish looks ugly to begin with, let alone some color around it. And Im not sure about the wheels. I like them, then I don't. Maybe all black with a blue lip? More settle. But I like everything you did.

 

why is everyone hating the grille??? i love it and i was looking at getting one to each there own i guess if i were you id get the black hvac and a doudle din setup to complete the dash

Because it looks like every ram, silverado, F150, tundra, titan out there. Its a truck grille, not a car grille...

 

I like the grilles. They kinda stick with the SC grilles. But the TC's look better. I would rather spend the 165$ to get those.

I bought the brake light from a wrecker for 20 bucks. Took it apart and adapted it into my 3rd brake light. The reason i like the grille is because it draws more attention to the front end. Black just looks bland IMO
