DO NOT BUY A KIT.

Put your flame suit on. You will need it. Because honestly, no kit looks good on a Cobalt, other then the SS kit. And don't buy anything from ebay. It will not fit right. It will take more fabrication then it's worth.

ya i agree. buy i found 1 legit one.. swear lol. But i know a guy whos put one on a cobalt and rx8 before and they weren't a walk in the park and they came out real good. But the main reason is since i'm 18 i have to go through my pops for insurance and thats still over a 100 so i have a 1000 deductable..so i have to go cheap.

But look as this. It'll be over 500$ aftedr shipping, few hundred to paint and fabricate it soit looks right. So already around 800$.

What do you actually need? Both bumpers or just the front?

EVERYONE IS WRONG. the GM ground effects looks THEE BEST in my opinion. It's on here for sale from GM BUT cheaper on ebay (500 to 650) and i think it looks sick. my two cents. its a lip kit. Ground Effects Package - Coupe and/or Sedan, Black (41U) - GM

Sure if you have an LS or a LT. But not on an SS. So you are wrong.

I would just look into getting a front bumper if thats all you need. I'm just thinking, if you don't have 1000$, I doubt 800-900$ would be alot easier on you. That's just my way of thinking.

But it doesnt apply to this thread. He needs a whole new bumper. So I doubt he'd put a base model bumper with a 700$ lip kit on an SS

ya i'm not a ls or lt bumper kinda guy lol. i just thought if i'd do anything body kit/bumper wise this would be the time to do it...i'll prolly just get a quote after i get my check from the insurance company... I think i could get it done for real cheap but if i were to say get one i was thinkin about that VIS one but its fiberglass..but i found a duraflex one i like thats fiberglass but looks pretty strong idk. Maybe i'll go back to normal... I will have to think and see what everyone else thinks.

Its one of the better ones. But not as nice as the SS.

Stock SS bumper with TC grilles look best. If you want to look different, get a billet grille.

completely disagree.....my kit came fome ebay and fit like a glove....the only modification required was another exhaust cutout to account for the dual exhaust and there was a SLIGHT rub from the front tire on turns that had to be cut back....

OP it all comes down to your style....if you like body kits then get one....just realize its not going to be a cheap process if you want it to look right...personally i think the SS kit is boring but thats just my $.02 and if you have an SS, unless youre trying to build a sleeper, dont put a base model bumper on there...take it from a base model guy....they're horrible looking...lol..

So you know, we offer discounted pricing on all of our kits/parts to CobaltSS members. If there's something we offer that you're interested in, let me know and I can get you a price.

while i normally hate body kits, that yellow one's not bad.

but the Zen kit looks awsome, it requires fitting but once you work it it looks flush and awsome, dont be so quick to """" body kits.

It's not that I'm not open, there are 2 kits that look good, but because I read the OP, and because the 1000$ deductable is to much, the best route is just find a SS bumper. A body kit after paint and fab thats needed, will be around 1000$

Wow, I normally hate body kits, but that grip one is pretty sweet. It's understated. If I run into anything, that's the bumper I'm gonna get, lol.
