what body kit or setup to get?
what body kit or setup to get?
So I was driving home the other night and it was pouring down rain locked up my breaks hit a deer and my radiator/zzp s3 intercooler/ and ac condsor andd all got bent in half.. its sad but anyways i'm just going to replace the parts with a body kit...Idk which to get or the best place to get from..Any suggestions? Thanks.
and ebay is sketchy to me lol but thanks
DO NOT BUY A KIT.
Put your flame suit on. You will need it. Because honestly, no kit looks good on a Cobalt, other then the SS kit. And don't buy anything from ebay. It will not fit right. It will take more fabrication then it's worth.

ya i agree. buy i found 1 legit one.. swear lol. But i know a guy whos put one on a cobalt and rx8 before and they weren't a walk in the park and they came out real good. But the main reason is since i'm 18 i have to go through my pops for insurance and thats still over a 100 so i have a 1000 deductable..so i have to go cheap.
here is the website and one i'm considering. VIS Racing TSC 3 Body Kit - Full Kit for 05-up Chevrolet Cobalt at Andy's Auto Sport
But look as this. It'll be over 500$ aftedr shipping, few hundred to paint and fabricate it soit looks right. So already around 800$.
What do you actually need? Both bumpers or just the front?

EVERYONE IS WRONG. the GM ground effects looks THEE BEST in my opinion. It's on here for sale from GM BUT cheaper on ebay (500 to 650) and i think it looks sick. my two cents. its a lip kit. Ground Effects Package - Coupe and/or Sedan, Black (41U) - GM
just the front, i'd figure i'd do a whole kit idk what to do thats why i'm askin everyone for their opinon ha lol but i know a guy who got jus a bumper and halos and an invader hood and it looks amazing i think. But his is a different bumper.

I would just look into getting a front bumper if thats all you need. I'm just thinking, if you don't have 1000$, I doubt 800-900$ would be alot easier on you. That's just my way of thinking.
ya i'm not a ls or lt bumper kinda guy lol. i just thought if i'd do anything body kit/bumper wise this would be the time to do it...i'll prolly just get a quote after i get my check from the insurance company... I think i could get it done for real cheap but if i were to say get one i was thinkin about that VIS one but its fiberglass..but i found a duraflex one i like thats fiberglass but looks pretty strong idk. Maybe i'll go back to normal... I will have to think and see what everyone else thinks.
nonono, if you are goin to buy a body kit. Buy 05-up Chevrolet Cobalt Body Kits from Grip Tuning at Andy's Auto Sport
Its kinda a murcielago style but smaller for the cobalt. I love it

OP it all comes down to your style....if you like body kits then get one....just realize its not going to be a cheap process if you want it to look right...personally i think the SS kit is boring but thats just my $.02 and if you have an SS, unless youre trying to build a sleeper, dont put a base model bumper on there...take it from a base model guy....they're horrible looking...lol..
Be open to opinions jsut stop with your stock ss kit we heard enough we know you like it
So you know, we offer discounted pricing on all of our kits/parts to CobaltSS members. If there's something we offer that you're interested in, let me know and I can get you a price.
while i normally hate body kits, that yellow one's not bad.
but the Zen kit looks awsome, it requires fitting but once you work it it looks flush and awsome, dont be so quick to ""
"" body kits.

if ur talkin about the one on everythingcobalt.com idk if there is as different rksport one but i tlooks good but it says won't fit the ss models or the sport ones and idk why it would say that since it hought they all fit to everything. idk
It's not that I'm not open, there are 2 kits that look good, but because I read the OP, and because the 1000$ deductable is to much, the best route is just find a SS bumper. A body kit after paint and fab thats needed, will be around 1000$
