What do yall think
Hey well I've been thinking of what kind of design I want to do with my cobalt and so I came up with this. What do yall think? and if you like should the shade of blue be darker or lighter? You can't really see but at the rear quarter panel its a bowtie and it says COBALT SS.
Would that be vinyl or paint never been a big fan of vinyl but to each his own and it don't look to bad
If you can I'd go w/ paint won't crack and peel over time
, and you being from TX you have the same heat related probs. we do

I wonder how much paint would cost but I had the dealership put that 5yr protection for the paint and interior just in case someone eggs my car or something and it won't come off they'll repaint the car for me. So I'll probably go with vinyl and the people I'm going to have do it gives a warranty for 2-3 years
Just remember that the paint exposed to elements will fade over time so when the vinyl comes off your paint will be 2 tone
Paint will cost more but it will be worth it in the long run and it look's so much better IMO you can see the goas flames on my cavi in the gallery under my screen name to get an idea. Did them myself so I don't know what cost would be
2-3 years means it's not very good vinyl. 3M warranties all of it's vinyl for 5-7 years, depending on the application. The thing to worry about most with cheaper vinyls is shrinkage. Cheaper cast vinyls will shrink and leave an outline of adhesive around it, especially if your car is black. If I were to add any vinyl grahics to my car, I'd request 3M 180 (control tac, as comply has a noticable "grid-like" pattern to it). And if this graphics company pulls out a bottle of soapy water to put it on, get the keys back and leave. An experienced installer will clean the area with isopropyl alcohol, and then install the graphic DRY. This will yield the best and longest lasting results.

its the 3M I just forgot the warranty time but thanks for the info on how they should clean the surface I'll definently stay around to see if they are gonna do that.
I like it, but in the end this is your project. My only objection is the fact that it's really not that different. As someone else said, it would be better to have some flames or something if you're going to put up the money for the changes.
Go with a darker, deeper, more subtle blue and do it in vinyl. Paint aint cheap, and it might even hurt you in the long run if you go to sell or trade in the car. You can always take a hair dryer to vinyl. Paints a different story
If you go with the red, is the interier black and red? because i think that would be tight, to me it's called color coordination, and gives it that profecinal look.
sorry about any spelling
IMO
it dose look sweet thought

I have the 2.4 SS so it didn't come in color but no worry, I'm going with red neon lights and, maybe paint some parts of the interior the same red as the vinyls. Already painted the calipers red and they look AWESOME!!!

Well I had my graphics done today and they look freaking awesome. After I got it I went to the automotive dept. at St. Phillips College and everyone was drooling all over it. Well I decided not to put the lettering, and I also put the GM Performance Parts logo on the side windows. On Thursday I'm gonna get a big crowd at the car show at school
