i live in maryland so the legal tint is 35 but who listens to that but i dont wanna have to take it off so what would look good on a 06 red cobalt ss/sc

 

are they real sticklers there? I split my time between RI and NY where the limit is 70 and I have 20 on my car. Haven't had a problem yet

 

5% in the back 3 windows
25% in the front 2

the limit here is the stock (i.e.- dog ****) 75%. I have 15% all the way around, it's dark, but not so dark the cops think you're pointing a gun at them when you roll down the window (my car is vic red too and the red and black looks slick)

 

Have you had many problems with the cops? Im getting mine done next month(tax time) and I was thinking 35/15 but i might go 25/5.

Around here people get there tint peeled every other day... I'd with 35 on the fronts.

Ive got 5 % all the way around. Never had a problem. Even when Ive been pulled over. Sheriff in New york state didnt say a thing about it. Maybe im just really lucky.

i have sunburst orange metallic and 20% looks really dark on it, but it just looks sooooooo nice.

I had 30% all around on my Cobalt and never got pulled over for it. I was pulled over twice for other reasons and never got a tinted windows ticket either. I have 20% on my Evo and I already got ticketed once (had it for about 4 months now) haha. 20% looks a lot better tho.

Nope, but them again I rarely see state troopers. And i heard they are the ones who are mostly A**es about it. But you pay more to get the front two done, then you do for the ticket. I'd rather pay the ticket them rip the tint off.

 

Go 15 or 20%, thoses are dark but not dark enough to throw up any flags and get you busted. Our tint laws are 35% also and I have never had a problem with my 15%.

20%, its so sexy on red. Cops normally dont care, unless you leave a sketchy neighborhood.

 

I say 5% all around, & like 35% on the windshield. I always ride with the windows down & sunroof back, so more light gets in when I'm driving.
