What Tail Lights for 09 SS
get some real clear coat and some GM color matched paint, add some of the base into the clear and spray it with an actual spray gun. I have yet to see anyone do it on the cobalts but in the s10 world, where im from, they did it all the time. color matched tails looks bad ass.
all night shades is is clear with some black in it.

The housing is black. The lights are red. And they are DOT stamped approved. I don't think the cops can say **** if you show them that.
Thank you for your OPINION....it has been duly noted....and filed in the appropriate virtual trash bin
Coming from someone that has put all the accessories on their Cobalt LS....one would think you'd understand that we all don't like the same things.....

Just because the lights are DOT approved doesn't mean the back of your car is "approved", for having zero reflective red.
That being said, I think the only ones that look good are the;

They look fairly close to stock and would probably look very nice if you tint them a few shades. If they are anything like the 2dr version like the ones I have, you can't really tell that they are aftermarket unless the lights are on.
Edit;
I have had my 2dr LED tails for well over a year and half, no problems of any kind.
Regardless if they are DOT stamped approved, if your state has laws which state a certain amount of reflective red must be visible, you can still get ticketed.

be better off with a light coat of nightshade 1-3 layers (smoked) I guess.
just hate how the red stand out like a sore thumb on my car. (Only reason I wanted after market taillights, they dont stick out from being super red)

Rather spend that $300 on springs (next on my to do list after nightshade)

That's exactly how I felt about mine.
