where can i get these? i have the GM part numbers in hand...

Ok guys, I have a silver 2007 Cobalt LT... with no fog lights...

I would like to install them not only to see a little better, but for appearance and performance.. I just like the way fogs look on cars for some reason...

anyways, i have the part numbers for both left and right assemblies:

Right: 15246809
Left: 15246807

I know i will have to buy the fog lights but i can get them at the dealership, i asked if they had them the last time i went and they said yes... but they dont have the fog light assemblies, thats why iv come to u guys... i would have to order them from GM.

anybody know where i can them online??

thanks for the input and help guys

heres how my car looks from the front... without fogs.... sorry for the crappy picture quality and stupid glare from the morning sun.

Whatever you do, make sure you get the ones that are still black housed so it looks stock. I'm not sure if the fogs were available with the color-matched grills, but I never liked those much. Black on white is sick.

http://www.gmpartsdepartment.com/ is another good option. They even have diagrams like at GM that point out which parts are what.

Looks like its cheaper at the gmpartsdepartment site.

What is the "Fog lamp assembly" and what is the "Fog relay"?

Also anybody know where to get the button to turn them on and off from?

The fog lamp assembly is the actual light. Maybe the light+grill insert? Not sure without looking. The relay is the wiring and stuff I believe. The switch/button is what you need now to actually turn it on. If you get the factroy button you need to get the dash trim piece with the hole for it. Otherwise, you could probably use any aftermarket toggle switch..

Well I know the grill inserts are different, and I found those on the site, but for the actual electrical components it has those two items. I would like the stock button to turn them on and off. The trim piece isn't hard to find, but I haven't been able to find the button which is why I was hoping it was included with the assembly or relay.

Umm.. If not, junkyard search that ****. They'll probably give you a deal if you buy the button and trim piece. lol.

Youll need the switch, the left dash trim panel, fuse, relay, and a GM Tech2 to turn on the fog lamp otion in the BCM if you want to use the factory switch and wiring.

Heres the catch: Not all 1LT's came with the fog lamp wiring harness installed. If yours didnt come with it, then this isnt really a DIY install unless you wanna make all you own wiring harnesses and use an aftermarket switch, and relay.

Heres how you tell if youve got the wiring.

Remove the left hand dash trim panel with your dimmer switch in it.
Carefully pull as much of the wiring for the dimmer switch out of the dash as you can. Just tug, no need for tools or to cut any tape or anything.
If youve got the harness there will be a small 2 terminal connector(almost always black) with an ORANGE wire and a BLACK/WHITE wire taped to the dimmer harness.

If you dont have this extra 2 pin plug and wires taped to your dimmer harness youll need to completely wire up the lights on your own and wont be able to use the stock switch.

So on the parts site, the fog light assembly are the lights themselves, they didn't have any of the relay's in though. Do you know if the relay and the stock switch can be ordered through the dealership?

The relay and the switch are definitely something the dealer can get you.

The relay is actually available at good auto parts stores too.

The part numbers you list in the first post, the one that ends in "9" isnt a good number. and the "7" looks like its just the grille for the left side, should be $22-30

I would really look to see if youve got the factory wiring first, if you dodnt it might just be cheaper to use an aftermarket fog lamp behind the stock grilles. No point in using the stock stuff if its more expensive than a quality aftermarket piece and youll need to mod it anyway

For reference:

On a 2005 PT Cruiser convertible that we had, there were no fogs installed.

The wiring was already there. The light bungs were plugged into the back of the
non-fog housing that was already there. Yours may be as well if your car is pre-wired
for the fogs.

New fogs snapped in place and then bungs went on. Next item was to replace the
switch which entailed replacing the turn signal arm that contained a new light switch.

Like a poster said above, look behind the trim panel or look underneath the car to see
if the bungs are there for the fogs already. If the wiring is there then is as simple as
snapping in the fogs, connecting the bungs and then installing the switch in the dash and
then getting them turned on in the computer.

Like i said, since youve got a 1LT there is a possibility that the harness is there. If you hand an LS I could tell it wasnt, just like if you had an '08 G5 I could tell you was. But '07 LT's Ive seen lots of mix and match. Because even though they get the same elec windows and interior panels as the 2LT they dont come with OnStar, ABS, foglights etc..... so its just a matter of if iyour car was lucky and got the uplevel harnesses installed in the dash. And under the hood.

I pieced together a list from the GM Parts department site:

Left bumper insert w/fogs
Right bumper insert w/fogs
2x fog light assembly
Fog lamp switch
Drivers side trim plate

Only thing I can't find is the relay. You mentioned you could get a relay at an auto parts store, if I picked one up, where should it be mounted/installed?
