I see alot of you guys have put eyelids on your lights. Where did u buy them? Everywhere i look they have spark plugs for the ss and thats about it

Go to a vinyl sign shop. They should beable to cut you some custom ones.

how to make eyelids!
1 - Get a very sharp knife!
2 - pull eyelashes straight out
3 - in a sawing motion cut perpendicular to the eyelide
4 - remove eyelid
5- take gluestick and rub back of eyelid - a little dab will do ya!
6- apply in desired fashion to headlight casing.
7- Let dry and enjoy!

the prices for Carbon fiber have been going up because its becoming harder to get. thats why CF hoods are rediculously hard to stock. Apparently the goverment is now using it for airplane construction which is what we were told by the manufacturers....that coupled with the fact that for a while nothing was being sold so a lot of places stopped production....no one wants to have a million hoods sitting around not selling. supply and demand sucks..lol... then all of the sudden the demand went up and the supply was limited to what was already around...now manufacturers have had to start making the stuff again...which is the most time consuming step in the whole process. the more limited and unique the product is...the higher the price.... i hate economics.

cobalt-addiction has some sick CF eyelids

CF prices suck right now because the military bought out at least one of the major manufacturers of the material for their own use. i believe it was some company in japan that was making the stuff and they had almost gotten into monopoly trouble a couple times because their company was so huge and dominating the market that the little guys couldn't compete. it ended up that the military took them over for their own use, so us car guys will now have to pay out the ass for any CF that has been made from about a year ago to the present time.

that being said, it isn't cobalt-addiction that is charging you the high price for their own profit, it is still the same markup as if the part were $50, and that goes for just about any honest company out right now.

ha, ok, well how about some NON CF eye lids. Id take some, and they donlt have to be CF I'd take a pair, but don't want CF ESP. for that price...

Check out cobalt-addiction.com they have the carbon fiber eyelids and and you can also check out ebay.

Someone give me some pics of eyelids to base it off of. I will try to see how well I can recreate. just post them I will work on it i am a vinyl dealer

I don't see how you can say your idea was stolen.. Making custom eyelids out of vinyl is nothing new..

autotrimdesign.com sells the eylids but i personally dont reccomend them they are exspensive for what you get and very difficult to install. i messed mine up when i was trying to install them but even if i had installed them correctly i dont think that the would have looked good up close.
