Where the hell is it... /??
Alright, about a month ago, I found an entirely carbon fiber kit for the Balt. At that time I was looking for something for my LS Sedan... but now I have an SS/SC. I'm not sure if the kit was for a 4 door or a 2 door or both, but I'm trying to find it again. Anyone know of any kits that are completely carbon or completely poly urethane? I live in Alaska, so fiber glass is just a stupid idea since we don't salt our roads in the winter here... we use rocks... freakin rocks... hahaha...
What color is your vehicle.... WAIT... you live in ALASKA???? Holy ****! Nice to see someone else from Alaska, I didn't think that there was anyone else... we could do a meet... hahaha, all 2 of us! I actually had to buy my car out by you, because it's impossible to find the SS anywhere.
Throw up some pictures if you get a chance. I like aspects of the RK kit, but other parts I hate. I like the poly part of it, but I don't know if I like the front bumper. If I'm going to pay the money to ship a kit to Alaska, then I want it to be substantially different and incredibly sporty. That's part of the reason I'm focusing mainly on internals and power for the time being. I figure the stock car is more like a sleeper than most supercharged vehicles... it just looks like a family car in general, even the SS/SC that I have.
But, I did find a means of doing Carbon on any kit you want, just go to addcarbon.com, they will do any kit custom fiber if you want. But I'm sure you'd have to pay a premium for them to do it up for you. I know they will do their own kits for not much more.

ya know, it was weird.......the other day I was working and my mind drifter all over the place, and I got to wondering about whether or not people have Cobalt SS's or modded Cobalts in general all the way up in Alaska. I saw theres no regional section for Alaska, so it just made me think. My questions has been answered now, lol. I wanna visit Alaska someday. How is Ankorage? And how are the roads up there? Even possible to have wheels/body kit that far north?
Anchorage and Alaska in general is awesome, it's just as big as any other city, we basically have everything that anyone else has, the only difference is that we have moose walking around downtown at times... and since they are the size of mini vans, that can be somewhat initimidating. But really Anchorage has weather that is no different than anywhere else in the northern states... but we don't use salt on our roads, so it means we are driving on an ice pond 7 months out of the year. But it's not all that bad.
As for the roads... they are constantly fixing them. We get some major grooves in the roads as the ground starts to melt, but by mid summer, the road evens out again. It's just hard to accelerate on the roads with such a light vehicle since one wrong acceleration could send you into another lane quite easily. So you have to be really smart when racing around out here.
I'm actually going to be moving to Orlando Florida at the end of the month and driving the 5,000 miles from here to there. That should be a great time with myself and a two year old boy! Looks like the next modification is the DVD and the headrest screens...

I ran H&Rs on my ss this winter and had no issues. You just gotta be super careful at times. With the ss/sc springs, it should be no big deal, my car would feel like a truck now that i've spent a winter lowered.
