Question Where to order/buy shorty antenna?

Does anyone know an exact link to where I could purchase a good shorty antenna for my 2007 cobalt ss/sc ? I found one one some previous forum topics & just wondering if this is "the one" to buy. Also, how easy is it to install?

I can't believe I am going to say this and I will have a little bit of throwup in my mouth, but G5-Mike had a good idea. Yes thats right G5-Mike. He chopped his stock antenna down to about 8-10 inches with a grinder (I used a hacksaw) then stuck a vacuum cap over the top to make it look like a tip. (he said it was a valve cover but he was mistaken )

Now I must go rinse my mouth out.

Mid America's (madvet) is the best shorty found yet. The base is the exact same as your original's. I put one on my LS and it looks great. Reception is no problem either.

Picked up one of the Ebay ones for under $10, and I love it.
I have great reception. I actually find that I have clearer reception in most places then I did with the stocker. And it looks great

I also realised while making this post, that I actually don't have any pictures of it on my car :\

I looked at the pictures of the antennas on the SoCalHHRs site. Their antennas have studs coming out of the antenna, whereas the Cobalt's antenna is a female end (stud on car).

Has anyone tried the SoCalHHRs antenna?

But that one won't work for 07s right?
I'm surprised no company has come out with an aftermarket annenta-less setup. So many cars have them, hell I'm pretty sure even Malibus do.. I'm sure it'd be a bitch and a half to install.

Actually yeah I don't think that one fits 07's. I didn't even notice it said 07. Just 05-06 1/2 Cobalts. I personaly have never tested this one on an 07 it's just what I have heard.

I was just reading on the eBay listing for the "euro" shorties, said something about twisting vice turning. I haven't messed with my antenna, so I'm not sure how mine works.

Half considering taking that b*tch off all together, I don't listen to normal radio that often, usually xm and cd's..

hey man go check out your local chevy dealer and ask them if they have a shorty antenna i think the 07 cobalts use 6mm they would be able to tell you for sure but i did and i like mine its really only about 5 to 6 in tall i will take pics when i get home so dont go buying until you see something you like and yes it is metal not rubber.

Cutting the stock antenna FTW.

No reception loss at all, and you cna mek it whatever length you want (Might want a backup just incase ya screw up. I cut mine down to match the roof.)

That's the one I bought. It fits my car fine but I have an 05'

I guess the male end of the 07's are a different size than 05-06s

So Then there's a chance it might not fit the 2007 models then eh? That sucks.
I'll have to see. I ordered it already, lol, if it doesnt fit my 2007 then I'll sell it to someone, if it does fit, I'll take pictures and post them.
