White haze

This question goes out to all those who have carbon fiber parts on thier rides. I bought a CF center wing back in May. I have noticed that there is a white haze or fog all over the top of the wing now. I tried to clean it off but it looks like the haze is inside the CF under the clear coat. Has anybody else had this problem and is there a way to fix it?

Thanks for any info.

I just installed mine and if it does the same thing I'll break it over someones head lol. Not sure what to tell you man. CF can get blemishes pretty easily from what I understand. Only the top best cf does not fade and get like that from what I heard. Rumors dont mean **** though so maybe someone can chime in. Post some pics up for a better idea if you can. LaTeR and good luck!

well, if it fades just paint it, the carbon fiber insert is harder than the stock insert right? thats better than the stock one flapping away in the wind like mine does.

Some CF manufactures used to use resin that wasn't UV protected and would become hazy and discolor after being in the sun for a while.
I would have thought that any quality piece wouldn't get hazy anymore but that sounds like it might be your problem.
First thing is to call the manufacturer and raise hell! If you can get them to replace it take it first thing and get it clearcoated with a UV resistant coating.
If they won't replace it try buffing it with compound and see if it helps. But if it goes all the way to the cloth you are screwed, unfortunately.

Thanks for input. I'll contact Cobalt Addiction tomorrow and ask them for the manufactures info and number.
