im curious.. where did you mount the ballasts? im going to be hooking up my low beam hids in the spring and im also going to be buying a set of slim ballast hids for the fogs. im going to mount the low beam ballasts under the headlight assembly but i dont know where i should mount the fog light ballasts.. and also, would i be asking for trouble if i didnt get relays for these?

do yourself a favor and dont buy luminics anymore lol.. those suck. i bought at least 3 pairs of them before i just said screw it and i bought hids. you will save money in the long run if you just buy hids.. with projectors of course

i just put hid's in my fogs last week. my balasts came with brackets and i drilled the holes out and bolted them to the bolts that hold the bumper reinfocment on (they are above the fogs). worked great.

as for how it all worked, well, id recomend some better headlights before spending the cash on hids for the fogs, they didnt do all that much.

im basically doing the hids in the fogs to match my lows. and plus, hids last alot longer too. can you take a pic of where you mounted your fog lights ballasts?

i have hids in my fogs but i forgot where i mounted them haha ill let u guys know tomorrow..but if u have hids in the headlights i would recommend putting each ballast atleast 6-12 inches away so they do not interfere with anything, thats what the guy told me when i bought them

all kits should come wit brackets so i just drilled to lil holes in my headlight bracket and put it under it, works awesome and i did the same for my hids for the headlights, so 2 wires go down for fog and 2 go up for headlights

thats actually an awesome idea.. and by doing it this way, do you still have clearance for the bracket to securely fasten back in place?

yup plenty of room still, mine don't touch the filter either, and water will never hit them because water wont ever go under the bracket for the headlights, it will just drip from the sides not the actual bottom, and for fastening the bracket back in place it would not interfere with that at all.

Yar!
I have HID fogs.... and my retrofit.

I mounted both ballasts under the headlights. One set under the cradle (the headlight ballasts), and the other set in front of the cradle, right behind the bump cover (fog ballasts).

Both of my relays are mounted in the engine bay, right in front of the intake hole, under the lip for the hood bumper.
