Who Makes Retrofits?

I'm looking into getting better headlights, but the general opinion is that all the aftermarket lights are just too much hassle. I'm also not digging the dual bulb setup either. So my question is, who on here makes quality retrofit headlights? I REALLY want some and just want to know who has them, how good they are and who made them.

Smartdude24 made mine. Amazing quality, great guy to work with.

Pictures do not do justice to how ridiculously bright these are.

And I'm pretty sure that ls1's retros cost WAY more than 300.

See I wanna be able to get a see for between 300 and 400. I know thats probably not feasible but. Actually what is it that makes them cost soo much? Is it the price of the housings and the projectors or is it mostly the labor that costs so much.

Oh btw. More pics of different retros done by different people.

I don;t remember exactly, but they came out of a high end Audi. The ballasts are all in German, and the pair alone cost me $275 off Ebay. They're bi-xenon's which means i have both high and low beams. the shrouds are off a BMW, and the headlights themselves are Black Anzio housings. I bought them new from TTR and had them shipped to Corey. He did all the work including a plug and play harness. All i had to do was put them in and find someplace to mount the harness.

yeah it was mostly labor. Parts for me were a little over $400 IIRC. but that's because i bought new housings instead of sending a stock set. Also, i opted for bi-xenon HID's as well as a high quality projector with ignitors. If you went with a cheaper e-bay projector, and stock housings, it would bring the cost down substantially.

Those are nice as hell but damn expensive. I was thinking more around 150 for some bi-xenon HIDs. It seems like ebay is a good place to get a pair then all I'd have to do is find a set of stockers and have it all shipped to whoever I can get to do them. How long do they usually take?

Mine took like a month and a half. He had a couple other orders ahead of me, as well as working and going to school full time.

You just tell him what you want, and he does all the parts searching for you, then sends you the links to the stuff he finds for your approval.

You approve, and send funds as he makes a bid and he has the stuff shipped to him. He puts it all together, and sends them.

I only paid 400 for my retros. They're dark housing stockers with Nissan 350Z projectors in them. The amber piece is also tinted. They look AWESOME. I'll take a pic maybe later today.

I've done several sets. You supply all the parts, it takes me a day or 2 to build them, and I charge $200 labor.

Heres a couple Ive done .

The cheap one .

And the ridiculously expensive one .

I may be down for doing some more . If you have something specific in mind hit me up . Only really interested in total customs though . Its not cheap , but the peices are one off and about as OEM as your gonna get without it being OEM .
