Just wondering is that bolted to the crash bar or welded? How difficult was it to do. It looks good by the way. I've been debating something similar just incase I need to get towed.

One similar to what you are talking about is already in the works...although it doesn't lock into place but it'll work. Only thing Im waiting on is rear one to be completed. No idea on when it'll be available for everyone but ill have mine sometime soon.

I don't plan on installing them till spring but once I do ill post up many pics...and most likely a how-to with some video as-well.

hp has nothing to do with anything, i dont care if it had 1400whp with twin turbo and a supercharger with a 200 shot of nitrous....they still look gay as ****. The ONLY reason i can see a person having one is if they are racing at the track and get a tow back from the finish line to keep the engine cool, which will not be a evo. Usally those cars are 9sec cars or less.

.....or if something happens on the road simply driving, or if everytime your getting pulled up on a flatbed the chains scratch the out of your paint because your so low, or if your on a road course and go off the track, blah blah blah

my ms3 had a stock tow hook, cap in the bumper i assume like your z. never used it though.

The tow hook im getting for the SS has a removable ring so when I DD I dont have to have the hook laying out on the bumper. meh personal pref but if its a track car you need them, but using them on the street...well I could see you calling it rice, but thats a personal pref as well.

no you missed the point... lol

its not about being there... my car got towed when my clutch failed, and the tow cable from the truck nearly ripped my front bumper off...

that hook isnt there for looks its actually there for the tow truck to come in and attach the cable to that hook... its bolted down to the crash bar.

its not there for looks, but luckily it turned out to be a good look on the black sedan.

its bolted to the crash beam... super simple to install.. it took me a while cause i didnt want to scratch my bumper or mess up my intercooler..

You better let us know how that goes. I've been planning on running with Redline at Nashville, but, they didn't get that venue this year so waiting to hear if they get another east coase event.

i mounted it myself... got it from a member here... he apparently bought it from ebay...

it bolts to the bumper bar, you have to drill two holes in the bar and then it bolts right in.
