i have my windows tinted but i dont have a banner on the windshield. i have really sensitive eyes to light and i was thinking about putting a 5% tint stip like 11 inches down from the top of the windshield across to help protect the sun from my eyes.. how many people think the banners are stupid looking and how many think they look good??

 

i don't mind just tinting the windshield...but when you put huge letters across telling me what kind of car you have or something even more ridiculous than that, thats what i hate. IMO of course.

 

yea it's just tint not vinyl or letters..

 

oh.. I thought you ment a banner. you just want a tint strip. I have a tint strip of 5% also cause I get very bad migrains from the sun and ****. plus it looks mean on my black car.

But i think it is totally rediculos when you see cars with the big NEON on the front. Like we couldn't tell that thing was a neon. If your car has so much stuff that you need to tell people what it is. ... your gay.

 

tint is good but no words unless u are getting sponsered

 

i put 20% tint 6 inches down and it helped my eyes. i think i might go back and get it 5% 8 inches down.

 

Banners are not classy in anyway. IMO the only time your car should have a banner on it is if it is on the dealer lot. Then it comes off.

 

i have a dark tint strip on my windshield ive always liked the way they look and they help when the sun bugs the hell out of u in that area

 

remember to check your local laws regarding how far down you can go. I know in hawaii you can only go down 4" but in Minnesota you can go as low as the bottom of the rearview mirror. Hell some states have a no tint on windshield at all.

Just so you know because it can get expensive. I have a 89 corvette and a 69 chevell ss that have a 6" and I always get pulled over for that stuff. One night i was cruisin in the vette when i got pulled over cop gave me a $240 dollar ticket for it. So i went and got the chevelle the same night and got pulled over for that. He just gave me a warning though. I told him I had no idea about the Law. Hehehe

 

before i bought my cobalt i had a civic. on my civic i had 16" down from the top of my windshield and the rest of my windows were 20%.. i never recieved a ticket once but was pulled over a few times for it..

 

Hell in Mexico they have vinyls most of the way down the windshield on their taxis.

 

I had to buy a Cobalt SS banner because I was sick of people asking me if that was the new Cavalier. No, dummy it's a Cobalt.
