wingless?!
#4
I met one person at my old dealership who had it done, and our body shop actually took a piece of steel and tach welded from underneatch each hole then put a little filler up on top, then sanded smooth, re painted the trunk, and then re cleared the trunk. And I think it cost around $30 for the paint, and like $180 for labor (lol, I think thats what they told me).....swapping is just easier and cheaper if you can find a person.......

yea its not the best fix but honestly my buddy with a SRT4 did it to his and it sticks well and hasnt leaked at all, I am in no way condoning this but it seems to be the only thing people can do without spending big bucks. Could always use vinyl to, you could buy the lock covers from smoothlock and put them over the holes.

popular way to do it is to use christmas tree plugs AKA black plugs to hold carpet into some areas of many trunks u can get them in autozone or advanced auto i dont know the exact name of the plugs but i know thats what alot of honda and neon owners ive seen use..

I honestly think if you are going wingless i would get it bonded and paited specially on our cars due to the fact the battery is in the trunk putting tape or vinyl over holes is a half ass job and the only thing that it is really gunna do specially when it gets cold is rust then you are into big trouble and money my opinion only

um you could go to autozone or whatever you have and pic up those interior or whatever clips. look like plugs i cant think of exact names at the moment. but they have ones that are bid enough to cover the whole so you would have 4 half dollar size bumps in the trunk but it works good for temporary plugs

yep thats why im getting the wingless trunk, but before i settle on the RKpsort wing im gonna try to make a full metal molded wing like the one on the Neil Tjin/Id Tuning SS/SC. But if that doesnt work out im gonna get the Rksport and probably mold it.
