I know where I live there is a junk yard that has probably 50 or so cobalts/ g5s in the yard. It's called feezles its in pa it's only like 20 mins from my house. I was thinking about going to get a wingless g5 trunk if I could find one. They had a lot of them there the last time I was there.

How much does it usually cost to ship one of those badboys. Anybody have any experience? If I ever wanted to go wingless I'd probably have to get one shipped- SRTC was a pretty rare colour for the LS I think.

You can give them a call and they can tell you what they have. Last time I was there they had atleast 50 cobalts/ g5s there. They have a ton of cars. I wasn't looking for a trunk then I wish I would have. I was looking for Dsm parts.

Like i said i got mine done for like 100 and then i sold my wing to the dude for 40 bucks lmao and said come back if you ever need touchups and he'll fill them in for free cause he has the can leftoever he'll never use besides my car

I didn't like it either, was looking for a G5 trunk lid.

I didn't mind filling, but I didn't want to fill the cobalt trunk, I wanted to get rid of the backup/taillights. Looks slick.

To Slowline: Dear god tell me that's wax in between all your cracks in the trunk. Also the Ion trunks look like chit without a wing. That second piece looking deal on their trunks is retarded as all can be.

While I agree that big floppy wings look like garbage. Your pretty wrong about the 4cyl part. I've seen the actual lbs applied at speed and its reasonable enough to keep on. One should never get rid of all down-force on a car they plan to get past 100mph. Now as a street car, its not needed. I think the Redline's spoilers were much more refined than the Cobalt's WHALE TAIL MAKING SURE EVERYONE WITHIN 20 MILES KNEW IT WAS THERE.
I would throw a Redline spoiler on my Balt any day, but the Cobalt's spoiler is trash looking.

And to note, I said the trunk of Redline looks like **** without the spoiler because the trunk lid looks like it's a two piece. Looks iffy.

Redline spoiler is sexy
Redline trunk is garbage
Redline spoiler hides shitty trunk

But, hey we all have our opinions about our cars and I don't let other choose how I mod mine, but an damn sure open to suggestions. LOL

Here just to note for oneself before hating on the performance help a spoiler provide on Redline and Cobalts.

"The optional, massive wing on the car actually does something, providing 23 pounds of downforce at 70 mph and 115 pounds at 155 mph"

I'm not a genius but I'm pretty sure you would feel that difference at speed trying to make turns.

Food for thought. But I prefer wingless. I find myself getting up past 120 TOO MUCH so a wing is fine to me.

Just so were clear I own an 05' Redline and an 06' SS. So it doesn't seem like I'm placing hate, just having a good debate with a friend.
