Woke Up To Both My Headlights Full Of Condensation

So I go to hop into my car for work this morning and see both my headlights are completly full of condensation. Like i'm talking the entire lens is covered on both sides. They were bone dry when i parked it last night. My roommates lights were dry this morning. I know this usually happens when the seal is leaking but the headlights have never been apart or even touched for that matter. Any thoughts?

You didn't happen to drive through the 9 feet of standing water Winnipeg got hit with did you? If they were condensing there is definitely some form of water inside of them, and if the seals are still holding how it got in there is a good question.

LOL thats what i was thinking. I live just outside of Winnipeg but ya we got a shitttt load of rain. Maybe something to do with it? Just find it very wierd both both headlights to do it at the exact same time and not just have a little bit of condensation but completly cover the lens on both

I'm wondering if the seal around the bulb is not sealing correctly. It would be weird for both to do the same thing.

off topic... are your wheels black or gunmetal? Your sig picture looks great!

Ya i'm gonna pull em out at lunch and dry them out and check all the seals. They are gloss black with hot candy blue. Thanks!

Your welcome. I have been thinking about doing my polished wheels black. But I am thinking of leaving where you put blue the polished and just have the front face black. Not sure whether it would look better gloss or flat.

Hopefully you can find where the condensation is coming from in the headlights.

If you still have warranty you can get them replaced. However you have to replicate the problem for them if they are jerks and don't believe you (happened to me). An alternative is popping them in the oven and re-sealing them.

I noticed this past saturday that my passenger headlight has condensation...
(it somehow got in overnight!?)

I was thinking of bringing it up when I next go to the dealer, but now I found the (cool) service manager I've dealt with "retired" for health reasons ~ so I'm going to bring it up directly with GM today (I've been in contact with a GM rep on an unrelated issue).

I've pretty much found out, that as son as you touch it, the dealer doesn't want to be implicated - and they're going to try to make you be in the hook for the fix...

unfortunately I'm a "tinker-er"...

I had my SS/SC wheels painted that way, Gloss black. They looked good, but I had a black SS/SC.

Back on topic though, still under warranty?
