I have a ls cobalt, it has a body kit on it and i am thinking about getting stock ss kit. i have found a front (without lip) and sides for 400 shipped and a rear (with lip) for 345 shipped total 745. the good thing is that its yellow already but thats a lot of money to look stock like everyone else. this is my car now let me know.

 

well, anything to make that car look more stock would prolly help it.

that said, i think 800 is a lot for stock body bits, i'd junk yard shop them, and have them painted.

 

just find someone to trade with...looks good, but a bit too aggressive for my taste....my car would never wear a body kit.

 

I have tho its like 300 a bumper and its never yellow. but this is. I just dont know if i want to look like everyone else. and Im not supercharged should i cop that look?

 

it is your car....just because it's not SC or TC, doesn't mean you can't like the look. Enjoy your car any way you can.

I think it looks good also but its everywhere. I like to be different but i think my kit is to much.

 

The stock ss kit is the best looking body kit I have seen. As far as if its worth that much money, eh thats your call. Could always try to sell your body kit you have now though.

so what if i did stock ss kit and a cf trunk. I have 19's.... had 20's but thats to big. kinda want 18's but the 19's look good. ( first pic shows 19's 2nd shows 20's. its kinda hard to see. the lip on the 20's is deeper)

also im taking the stripes off when i get a cf trunk.... should i paint my roof black? I think it would look good.

 

Id say no on the black roof, just preference, I think it would look good with the SS kit and everything yellow except the carbon fiber.

 

keep the 19's....they look good. getting rid of the stripes is a good idea, and the ss kit with a carbon fiber hood and trunk looks sick. Check out the car of the month, his car looks awesome. I dont know about the roof though, i would keep it yellow if i were you.

 

factory SC or TC bumpers would look great on your car. and there are still ways to look different. you just have to get creative and think outside of the realm of how everyone does things here.

 

^Exactly right, you don't have to do what anyone else like/thinks, it's your car, you have to do what YOU will like.

 

well I was looking at
Gestapo007 car and he has black hood, roof, and trunk. i was thinking the same way with a cf hood and trunk tho..... and as for the stock ss kit well im getting it and if i dont like it ill sell it. but should look good.

a friend of mine has a ls bumper stock i could get what do you guys think about ss front and skirts with a stock ls rear and the rk sports g5 lip? also do you half to run dual exhaust tips with that lip?

 

yea i love the bomex front but hate the rear and yea get a cf trunk and get rid of the stripes mr love the mr7 wheels tho had those on my old cavy

In the end you should go with what you really want. I'm not a fan of the bodykit that you currently have, but you also have a point with the SS kit, you'll look just like everyone else.

 

Your current kit is a bit too square for the rest of the car. Factory sc or tc kit looks the best IMO you can always get creative with the plastic grill or the lip/fog light holes for an Intersesting look. I'd say rocking the ss look on an ls is no issue if you've got the performace to back it.

 

I have a cai and a exhaust tip lol. Not gone for power yet. I want to get my car lookin good before I go fast.

 

there is no issue about putting the bumpers on his LS. as long as he doesn't put SS badges on it, he is good to go. lol
