Yes Or No

Im either painting just the edges or nothing at all, not the whole thing, which is why its not an option in the poll. So basically, just leave it all cf and re clear it? or paint the edges to tie it in more with the car?
Thanks

I'm a fan of the edges idea. I saw your photo shop thread and I think it will really tie the carbon fiber hood into the rest of the car. Plus its unique

Ok,

The hood looks like trash?

Want me to be more straight forward?

I would paint the whole thing

Paint the whole thing or in a year have fun refinishing the whole thing.

CF/Nomex/Kevlar breaks down in sunlight.

Get a transparent color matched if you wanna still see the weave.

And to the two other asshats who don't like my opinions, tough luck

Your still a dick hole. AT least you gave him an actual idea...and I have to agree that a transparent color matched would be sick. That should be option C.

Because I gave my opinion in a public forum, in a 'not nice way'?

And I am sure OP here is gonna lose so much sleep over my comment/suggestion?

Doubt it, loosen up a bit.

A little 'not care' goes a long way.

thank you, and it will not be going transparent as I have brought it up with my painter already.

and the cf will not break down in sunlight, its the finish that will, as they all come gel coated like a boat hull. that is all being taken off and it is being cleared either way with paint or without, now it will not get sun spots or heat spots nemore.

that was one of my reasons for not wanting to paint it.

If I sold it itd only be 300$ so whoever got it would get a steal still have money to strip it or repaint it their color neway

Have the entire hood cleared when your painted does the edges or just clear the entire hood anyways and you will not have any fading or discoloration issues... i've been painting for years and trust me if you do this you won't have any issues with the forementioned "breaking down".

Also I like the painted edges with your blue... it only works on some colors but I think to match the body lines a bit better I would bring the paint up onto the raised line of the hood and just leave the flat part CF.
