there are 8 holes..... 2 up front and 2 in back... 1 on each side of the back ones....... the "Plastic tabs" you are having painted im guessing are plugs...you cant use plugs because out of the 8 holes... only 3 are perfect circles..... cover then with paint matched vinyal.... this way u only need 4 p[ieces to cover the 8 holes.... up front the 2 holes only need to be cut about the size of a dime.... for the back its about as tall as a quarter, but 2X as wide.... hope that helps

good grief... please don't go ricer and plug the holes with plastic or vinyl... get a good shop to weld in some plugs and paint it... or trunk swap someone.

a temporary fix until you can get something better done is fine... heck... I had duct tape over the holes in the trunk of my 2.4 until the SS/SC wing came in. But I think once you see the holes that the wing goes in... you'll understand that it needs some serious work to fix it right.

Waylin22,

Call the local junk yard and see if you can get your hands on a trunk, might even try a cavi trunk but I am not 100% on that.

Cavi trunk won't fit... but trying the junk yards isn't a bad idea.

I hope you were trying to be funny..... lol .... if not then your a loser. open your trunk. you will find four nuts - two on each side of the wing. if you want to see how big the holes are just take off one nut or all four because some are slotted and one is not for easy fitment. I know cause I did mine. I had a shop fill in the holes and paint. I would never go back to having a wing.

I was thinking the same thing. I've already done a "pre" prep job on removing my spoiler, because as you know it is something I'm concidering.... I only saw 4 holes.

i have a base.... i think the spoilers are mounted the same way and if they are (cvould be wrong) you my friend are thick lmao there is deffinatly 8 holes.... im guessing you took the wing off yourself and had the shop remove the sticky gasket and patch the trunk thats y u didnt see the other 4 holes...the gasget covered them... i did it all myself so i know exactly what it looks like.... i could be wrong about the same patterns on the base and SS wing but many ppl swap them so im pretty confident its like this.....if iom wrong i apologize but i will bet my car on the fact that base cobalts have 8 holes if they have the same wing as me for 05

(( O ))

besides looking like a giant boob thats what the rear holes look like on a base spoiler mounted trunk... trust me, mine is off...... there is a circle for the bolt. and then a kidney shapped semicircle on each side of the bolt that the gasket is pushed through a bit

Well I AM THE BIG BOOB. It was so long ago I forgot the half moon shapes around the hole. I was thinking about how many studs were on the wing.
