That was an old airstrip so is longer than it is wide. I should have linked the playlist which has some more non-saloms.

I'm familiar with the limitations. The closest autocross events I go to are on an old airstrip as well. Pretty much the only thing they can do to get some variety is have crossovers but then we can't run 2 cars on course.

Lap around my local track

A lap around High Plains Raceway a couple months ago.
I was mainly doing a shakedown of various modifications on the car.
Tires weren't great (4 year old NT01's) and brake fluid was past it's life.
Lapped around 2:10 when my all time record is closer to 2:08.
Enjoy!

GoPro Hero 7 Black, recorded in 4K mode. But I should say that Vimeo is also a big contributor to the high resolution video. Youtube sucks when it comes to that, not to mention Facebook who is the worst!

Awesome. The sound is pretty good and good picture as well. The sound from my gopros (I think hero 4) are such garbage even with the open back cover.

Sound would be even better with the window closed but it is mandatory at our track to drive with the driver side window down

I've been to most of the major northeast tracks and they've all had the rule that the window must be down in there's a body in the seat next to it.

Every track I have run with anywhere in the US requires this for safety, so that if you screw up, its easier for fire rescue to get to you.

Yeah it definitely makes sense for safety. The track I frequent has pretty relaxed rules, which has its advantages sometimes. They recently implemented the open window rule. I think it is mainly because you have to stick your arm out of the window to let other drivers know your intention to pull into the pit lane, which is right after a (fast) double chicane. I like the challenge of taking it at speed with only one hand on the wheel lol
It's just nice on colder winter lapping days when you can close your window

Road America track day Nov 1st

I was running 500 treadwear tires since I was running what I have for now. The tires didn’t hold heat and would tear out chunks. Regardless it was an amazing day.

It looks like most of your interior is stripped out. Are you looking into making this a dedicated track toy?

I plan to keep this street legal. It is just a fun daily driver/ autocross/ track car. I’m keeping everything simple and somewhat budget minded. The next projects I’m looking at are adding a lexan rear windshield, splitter, flat bottom, and diffuser.
