I kinda like it. As long as it's with real purpose built cars.

drifting is FREAKING AWESOME. I wish I would have bought a rear-wheel drive high HP car sometimes just so I could drift. Personally I think it takes massive amounts of skill and car control to drift "properly".

I think negotiating ANY form of a controlled slide is damned impressive, and I could watch it all day long.

Drifting is lame.

My opinions on the "sport" have been well documented, just do a search and you'll find them.

Some just fear what they don't understand....I don't know what that means. Drifting like said above takes skills.

Drifting is sick. I wanted the GTO so I could drift with that. I remember reading an article of 5 stock best cars to drift. GTO came in 2nd. The other cars were a 350z, porsche 911 carrera i think, and two other cars that I don't remember. Oh maybe one was an rx8 too. But yeah they said the GTO was a good car out of the box to start drifting in.

I think it shows awesome car control. Personally I prefer rally-x but still, drifting is alright.

Blech! An RX-8 would suck to drift in IMHO. Not enough torque to toss that fat body around. Keep the rx8 following the line.

I drift just about all turns in the snow in my G/F AWD SUV, its so fun

I think drifting in the snow is a bit harder than on dry roads cuz on a dry road when you let off the gas you stop alot faster.

Drifting is figure skating for cars. It takes skill, but at the end of the day its still gay.

Sure it takes skill... but how does that affect me, the viewer? Carving a statue of wood also takes skill, but it's ******* boring to watch.

anyone ever try drifting using a frontwd car without using the hand brake? on my old crx id put 700lb springs on the rear and 250lb springs on the front with 2deg of front camber and 1.5deg of rear camber. just lift off the throttle a little on a turn and the ass end would sitting right beside you. it was great for dynamic drifting and faint drifting.

I put donuts on the rear of my EG once. It was fun until one peeled off the rim.

I was in the same boat with the rest of the people against it on here until i got dragged to the formula d championship thing this past summer. I didn't want to go because i though it would be absolutely boring. I still think the only reason I really got into was because the GTO was kicking some serious Japanese ass. I still can't watch it on tv though as it's very unexciting. But for all the people against it...I must suggest to go to a show in person and i'm sure you will feel differently. I'm even more excited for this year since they are bringing in a 69 camaro...
