Future AutoX plans
So i've decided that in the next 3-5 years i will start to build a car for autoX and road racing. My question is should my starting car be my 07 cobalt ls. Obviously i would have to put a lot of work into this car (turbo, coilovers, etc). Or should i start with a 95 Camaro z28 with a LT1 engine. The camaro would be the obvious choice stock but i would not put as much work into it as the cobalt. What do you guys think? Is the Ls to much work to make as competitive as a camaro.
you need to start w/ a G85 (LSD equipped car) cobalt..... there are a few folks on here who run 2.2's pretty successfully I think!
I have an SC w/o the LSD and it really hurts my traction out of corners
there is a Camaro that runs w/ my group and he's very fast!
remember the more power you have and the heavier the car is the more $$$ it will cost to keep up your habit, you will go through more tires and brakes than car w/ less power and weight.
I get beat to crap by a base Mini Cooper

The problem is that if i do get the camaro then it will be within a year (i would get a good deal on it). Does anyone have any autocross experience with a camaro and a balt?
