I Officially Love Autocross!
I recently attended an SCCA two day autocross class and watched an autocross event and am now in love with it. I love any type of racing, but autocross has so many varieties of cars and variations on courses and, of course, is very inexpensive.
I found some 15" by 6" wide black steelies and am going to wrap them with Falken Azenis 205/50R15 tires. Found that the Cobalt has pretty good stock power and brakes for autocross, but it is heavy (compared to others in its class). That is ok, though, becuase it is still fun.
I am going to run in the Detroit Region SCCA in the STS class as number 3 (every event I can, anyway). Anyone else running in these events? Maybe we can get together and represent the Cobalts.

It's always nice to hear someone coming into the autocross fold. Welcome aboard!
Just out of curiosity, why are you running in STS? Based on your sig., you could easily run the stock classes. Also, why steelies for the "race rubber"? Most folks do it the other way around.
