A Mod To Cool The Turbo Area?

I don't track my car but I did a mod that may help keep the temp down in the back of the engine turbo area. I am not aware if this has been done already?
My inspiration was from the deflector for the radiator. Why can't we have one for the turbo area right? Just to have some cooler air circulation in that area.
From my initial observation, it seems to work. No meter or gaget to measure anything just low tech touch/feel result. It is around 55 - 65 F here. The cold side of my S256 is cool to the touch after each trip. This was right after I"d parked the car and before it got heat soak. So it meant that if your car is in motion, it will keep the heat down and increase HP with cooler intake air temp? In the middle of summer it will get warm of course but should be cooler then without? We'll see how it is in Aug.

So take it fwiw. Wind flow, lift, and aero dynamic issues etc.. We are not driving a F1 Redbull of Max V. Lol....

Fwiw, the other day I wanted to test how the mod actually work when the cold side housing that has been heat soaked. It work well in the other scenario.
So I let it parked for 30-40min after a short trip. Did my old fashion hand/finger to tube test. She was toasty can't touch it more then a second housing and hose clamps for the charge pipe/intake. The I took her for a short trip 3-4 miles @ around 45 mph total of 5-7 min drive. Did the hand test again, it was cool to touch this was at around 55 F ambient temp.
The verdict is that it does drawn enough air to that area and the bonus is it has also cool the turbo cold side at the same time. My guess is In the middle of summer ( 85-95F) it will get warm to the touch is my but would be better then burning hot? It should gain some performance with cooler intake air temp in what ever the ambient temp is. I guess it is like having a super efficient FMIC to cool your charged air a few extra degrees.
Car runs great not sure if it is the new spark plugs and new coil pack or it is from this mod? Maybe it is both? Old plugs and coil pack where fine but just decided to change them out.
So all you track veterans may want to explore this idea especially when you are in boost 99% of the time?
