Question about the control arm

I see the sticky at the top of this section - autocrossing might break your control arm. I also searched the forum and found examples of two cars that did. One was out on the street. But what is everyone else doing about this? 2 issues out of everyone else seems very small. But there was not information on what kind of tires they were running. Stickier tires should put more stress on the suspension.

I have been out to a few autocrosses. A couple on the stock tires. And one on a set of Kumho Ecsta SPT (not much stickier). And my control arms are fine. But this is my daily driver. I would rather get the GMP arms and leave stock class rather than break something as soon as I put on slicks.

Not related, but sort of. It looks like the Cobalt SS/SC is getting powned by the TC. This is a lot of trouble to be outclassed. Maybe E Stock for the SS/SC? I guess I will have to wait and find out.
