Question bout suspension
Ok this is the email I got from SCCA....
Cars with forced induction engines have to be specifically listed to be eligible for STS. Since the Cobalt w/ supercharged engine is not specifically listed in STS, it’s not eligible. L
Cars with up to 2.0L forced induction engines are eligible for STX (and also STU, but I don’t recommend it).
The “Solo Categories.pdf” on the Solo Rules webpage (link in my signature) may help. It’s a grief summary of the allowances in the Solo Rules.
Hope this helps.

Yep.... that's why Alleycat doesn't run STX ( nor will I eventually ), due to the tight ass competition in it. CSP is supposed to be the SP class we run in so you're in with Miatas there....
Good luck and keep us informed on what you do.
I actually LOVE running in a street prepared class. It's a more limited group of competitors, usually 4-5 where I am locally, so you're pushed a lot harder to do better because the competition is small and usually very tight with only a few other people. It's absolutely possible to have a day where the entire class will be within a second or two of each other.
If that is the case - your best "suspension" mod will be R-comps without a doubt. And feel free to go as small and as light with the wheels since there aren't the restrictions of stock class.
