Scca

Going to my first SCCA meet tomorrow - not racing just going to see how things work. The course is supposed to be the same at all of them so I'll probably be doing some ride alongs with someone in my class. Might even be video

Good luck, have fun, autocross is a BLAST!!!!!! My advice - ride with as many people in as many different cars as you can. The experience is totally different in each one. The course is the same for all classes, but as far as events, I have NEVER seen them use the same course twice. They use the same elements but in different combinations for every event. Also, different regions sometimes have different types of courses depending on who designs theirs. Sometimes it's built for speed and sometimes it's built for technicality, but it's always a heluva lot of fun.

Well it was a total blast! There was a Miata that had a 5.0V8 and christ waggons that guy hauled some major ass! Also got to meet with some national champions, that was really educational. I almost died when a engineer from a local university lost complete control of the F1 style thing his class built. Half way through when my class headed up to the line I was wishing I had entered. They're were some really bad drivers in my class, I think I could really dominate...
