SCCA Memorial Day autocross results

I recently participated in the Detroit Region SCCA Memorial Day Event at the DTE Energy Music Theater (Pine Knob). I placed 4th out of thirteen in the TGS (Street Tire "G" Stock) class. It was a pretty quick, yet twisty, track. Sorry I don't have a video, I have to save up for a digital camcorder. Don't have pics either because I just plain forgot about it.

Here are the results for my class:

Anything with a "+" and a number next to it designates how many cones were hit that run. A "DNF" means that the person missed a gate or went the wrong way around a slalom.

I ran pretty good and beat some pretty decent cars. See my sig or vBGarage for my mods.

I've done those a few times. I opt not to do Detroit-SCCA stuff anymore, only because once you've been on real race tracks, you never want to do the parking-lot stuff again.

This weekend i hit up Blackhawk Farms Raceway in Rockton Illinois for a Autocross/TimeAttack. New personal best for me. The drive out there is killer though with a lack of cruise control.

Good showing there! A bit more seat time and you'll certainly get up there in the standings.

That's really not bad considering you're racing one class up from where you should normally be. By SCCA rules, the 2.2L Cobalt is supposed to run in H stock, not G.

Hey good job there man! I saw you running, wanted to go and say hi but got side tracked into other stuff, otherwise I might have gotten pics of ya. I was in one of the ES miatas the first heat, and parked over by a bunch of cavys.

If your gonna be at the one in Yipsi coming up, ill try and get some pics and say hi then. Check out www.wormtech.com also, almost all the local autoxers post there, and they usualy put up the Run/Work order early, Friday or Saturday.

Yeah, I was surprised at how well I did. I actually hope to stay in G Stock because it was so competitive.
