Understeer and Oversteer
Generally FWD cars understeer (i.e. when you're turning, the car wants to pull straight instead of turning, especially when you accelerate) and RWD cars oversteer (i.e. when you're turning, the back end of the car wants to slide out when turning, especially when you accelerate...which is the whole physics behind drifting).
RWD cars don't allways over steer but depending on the way you drive they may or may not. Alot of this is totally on the driver especially if you allready know that your car is known for understeer, if you brake more before the corner(this is from my experience running on street tires) and then drive out of the corner you should be allright and have less understeer but if you go flying into a corner and hardly brake at all you can expect a good helping of understeer.
There are a few ways to correct understeer in a front wheel or all wheel drive car, the cheapest way is with air pressure in the tires. Alot of people are devided on the direction you go with the rear tires but I have been going with less and less air in the rear tires recently, some swear by going higher in the rear end but I have found that when the back end does go it goes fast and some people may not be able to react fast enough.

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car. Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with you.
from my aim profile lol and as Gene K said above
