Our LED Lighting Kit with the Stock Gauge Face

For those of you who like your stock gauge faces but want blue led's, we tested our LED lighting upgrade kit with the stock face. It works quite well. Here is a pic.

When using the blue LED kit, a special film needs to be applied behind the red markings. This film will be supplied by us if order the blue LED kit by itself.

The blue glowing needles is achieved by removing the red paint from the back of the stock needles. We then repainted them white and the result is the blue glow. We will post more detailed instructions on removing the stock red paint shortly.

Looks amazing. If you don't remove the red paint from behind the needle, does the needle still light up red??

It's $35 + shipping. There is soldering involved. Full detailed instructions are included.

We supply 3 LED modules, 1 for each gauge. Each module has 2 small wires that need to be soldered to the main circuit board. The factory lights also need to be de-soldered from the main circuit board. Anyone with moderate soldering skills can do all the soldering in about 10 minutes. It also needs to be done with a low wattage soldering iron to be sure that there is no damage.

looks great! I want, but i'll be waiting a month or two. Any plans for a group buy? not sure there'd be enough interest though. i'd be getting an iron too - haven't needed one in a while.

I am definitely game for this..... I was thinking about buying the replace from another vender for the same effect but I think I will go this way instead. The only problem is..... soldering..... never done it before. Oh well, no better time to start then now.... hehehe.

You only have to remove the paint on the needles. Nothing else. The LED's are soldered more or less where the stock lights are behind the gauge face. The LED's themselves are already soldered. All you have to solder is two small wires for each gauge.

We are planning on doing gauge faces for the HHR, but don't know exactly when they will be ready. Sometime in the next month or two. Keep checking back.
