Thats an excellent how-to for DIY installation. I was wondering like what exactly the LED kit includes. Possibly pictures and a how-to would be nice, I'm considering picking that up along with ordering a custom blue cluster.

Weird, yet the red/white SS/SC looking cluster has the needles lit up.

The needles do light up in real life, the blue is very bright and it seems our camera just can't handle the contrast! It's time for a new camera!

We are looking into it but can't say how long it will be though. When we come up with something, I'll be sure to post it here first.

Is there any way to change the needles to like a white, like the is the color from the lights behind the cluster, or are the needles painted or tinted that red color.

I love the look of these...

The black on white, with the white needles and the white writing.

So if I were to buy this kit, the needles will glow blue instead of orange? If so, I'm sold!

Hi, we do have the red LED kit, it's not on the website now but we will be adding it soon. We need to take pictures!

The stock needles are painted flourescent red, so they will light up varying degrees of red no matter what color led you shoot at them. Even with blue led's they still light up a pale red color. If you want them to light up a different color, the red needs to be removed and repainted (just the back side) with white or a flourescent color close to the color you want, such as flourescent blue for blue glowing needles. Repainting the needles is easy, but repainting them well is not that easy. Paint needs to be perfectly even or you will see dark and light spots in the needle.

If you have the blue led kit, the needles will glow a pale red unless you repaint them as explained above.

Yes, we can do 2 logos, and as long as they are in the upper half of the gauge, they will light up. To put the 2nd logo, $10 extra.

Hey, we don't offer needle kits like that one, but if you use one of our LED kits, you can get your needles to light up like this picture. I know I mentioned that changing the colors of the needles can be tricky but after doing the cobalt needles, I'd have to say they are the easiest I've ever done. I need some time, but I can put together a DIY on this.

As for the malibu - I doubt they will fit but you need to check with II.

Has anyone had problems with climate effecting they're new clusters. I ordered mine last summer and installed it, drove it, and parked it for the winter. Until yesterday it was clear roads but bitter cold outside and I noticed multiple hairline cracks starting from holes for needles. Even after it warmed up I still have all of these cracks that the blue lighting shines through.
