Cool dude, I'm the other black one at CAMI, I've seen the blue one on nights but haven't seen any others although I do know a GM manager who had a black one for the month of may.

Ya, I work straight days. Anyways, back to my Cobalt and since this is a London thread anyone know of the best tint shop? I've never had to get a car tinted and don't want a shitty job done on it, if anyone has had good experiences with a shop let me know.

p.s. just ordered my arm rest. Ya, i know, it's like cup holders in a porsche but it will be nice for all the crappy highway driving I have to do

I'll take a look at my work order to see where MacMaster had mine done for me, I think it was Ziebart but I'm not 100% sure. I had to have it re-done once because there were a lot of streaks under the tint and I've still got a few marks on it but no tint job is ever going to be perfect. It's covered for three years and they didn't complain about having to re-do the two front windows again (there is another mark on the passenger side but can only notice it around dusk when the sun is RIGHT on it) but so far so good.

This is the first time my car's been tinted so maybe someone that's lived in London longer and had it done before knows of a better shop.

I saw a red SS/SC in the Future Shop-Staples-Beer Store parking lot near Masonville when I was in town this weekend... looked pretty slick. Can't wait 'til I'm done with UWO so I can afford one. Was that one of you guys?

2nd year... honours specialization in history. hopefully that will be useful enough to land me a decent job so I can get an SS/SC in 2008 or so.

i have had nothing but problems with macmaster.
but i havent had anything huge happen with my car yet.
I dont have an SS i have a blue LS..
and i love seeing cobalts around london..
they are so hot... my only beef is that the majority of the SS's i have seen have older people driving them, and i am takling like 50+ and they are slow.. and i fly by them.. and im like, COME ON!
makes me mad.. they shoulda got the sedan.. saved the SSs for people who would enjoy getting on it a little..

Ok, checked out Tint King, heard good things from others and they have a lifetime guarantee. $225 to get a coupe done.

On that note...I was sitting on Barney's patio a couple weekends ago and saw a red SS go by 2 or 3 times. The last time I saw it it turned right onto Richmond going past TJs. Wasn't sure if it was yours or the other red on that I've seen around town that MacMaster sold. Real nice looking car though...the exhaust definitely has a nice sound to it .

The only older drive I've seen is one of the blue ones around town, he looks to be in his 50s or so as you mentioned and he's always smoking in the car. So far I seem to have it down to 2 blacks, 3 blues, 2 red and 1 orange...I'm yet to see a yellow one here. I don't see many of them around town though, I've only seen them each maybe one or two times. I've seen a couple of blue LS around town while I'm out burning gas with no particular destination in mind...seems most of the time when I see another Cobalt they're going the other way though . I did pull up beside one automatic LS going north on Richomnd at Windemere and we decided to give eachother a run for our money...doesn't get much closer than that. I still love seeing them around though...such a nice looking car...everytime my roommate is cruising with me he points out every single one he sees...I'll convert him from Hondas sooner or later just gonna take a bit of work .

i now have issues with macmaster.
and with my silly little cobalt.. well. more or less the way she was built.

last week my car started to make this clicking noise when i tried to start it, then it would idle super low, and stall. it was taking an average of about 5 or 6 tries to get my car started. i dropped it off yesterday, after standing in the service bay for about 15 minutes, while NO ONE helped me (mine was the only car there), the finally took her in.

when they called me an hour later, the informed me that a bolt on the battery had rotted out.

MY CAR IS 3 MONTHS OLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NOTHING SHOULD BE ROTTED!

anyways, i see a lot of cobalts around.. and i love it.
i drive like an *******. so if you see a blonde chick with a lei in on her mirror, driving like an idiot. thats prolly me..

Maybe you should just make a big scene next time...that should get their attention well before 15 minutes is up .

As for the problem you're having that sucks...the only way I could see that happening is if you have a leak or moisture build-up somewhere in the rear of your car since the battery is beside the spare wheel in the trunk (unless this is only if you got the stereo upgrade I'm not sure)...maybe they should be taking a look around the trunk to look for any leaks or especially on the underbody but it definitely shouldn't be rotting. Hope they get it fixed up ok...I've never once had a problem with my vehicle after they returned it to me *knocks on wood* so hopefully everything goes smoothly.

Chances are if you see a silver LS driving around the north end or closer to downtown and you can't see in the windows that would be me. I saw a blue Cobalt by Loblaws not too long ago but I only caught it out of the corner of my eye so I'm not even sure what model it was let alone if there was a lei on the mirror .

Yep ditto...blonde chick revving the hell out of a blue Cobalt with a lei on the rearview mirror at the Petro on the corner of Highbury and Dundas. I went down to the SRT-4 meet that night (Wednesday of this week) at the Parts Source and happened to catch her flying west down Dundas like she had somewhere to go in a hurry .

I can't believe I've never passed by you on the streets I'm out driving so much lately it's getting ridiculous...trying to get as much cruising weather in as I can before the snow starts flying . Oh and just be thankful there is only one other red one in town...I've seen two different blues, another one just drove off MacMaster's lot (I think it's gone ne ways) and Ray Cullen has one in their showroom...they really need to get another orange one in I've only seen the one so far.

Was thinking the same thing...every time these meets come up in TO I've got stuff to do or I'm not in a mood to drive that far (yes I'm pretty damned lazy ). I'd be up for it we just need a few more people to be interested in coming by (though I guess 2 is better than none ).

Oh, btw you weren't up at the apartments on the corner of Adelaide and Fanshawe park a week or two ago were you...I was heading north and a black one went by me and turned into the apartments...I didn't want to follow it in to say hi thought that might be a little creepy .

How many are going to get winter tires for their SS? I want to but don't know the best kind and best place to get them in London (and not crappy tire because they pissed me off with my old car and I don't trust em).

I'm going to look into OK Tire on Clark north of Dundas to see what kind of quote I get for 4 steelies (16") and 4 Michelin X-Ice for my LS. My roommate just recently bought 4 new all-seasons there for his car and the price didn't seem too bad so I guess it's worth a shot anyways.

I compared the prices on Tirerack to those of Canadian tire (factoring in the current exchange rate) and it was somewhere in the ballpark of $40.00 cheaper to go with tire rack...but like yourself I'd prefer not to go to Canadian Tire.
