New summer offer - $.20 off gas for a year!

One year (or up to 2500L) of gas at $.20 off the regular price

Great news for anyone who doesn't have their Cobalt yet. I pick mine up on Monday so this is great timing!

My chevy dealer usually gives you FREE Gas for a year... they just use some mathmatical... blah blah anyways they give you a gas card for how much they feel you should use... usually a few hundred bucks

"With purchase or lease of virtually all 2005 new or demonstrator models delivered from retailer stock between May 25, 2005 and August 2, 2005,"

My SS is coming from the factory so it's not techincally 'retailer stock'. However, the dealer ordered it for stock and I put a deposit on it to make it mine. Would that make me eligible?

plyboy-illest's car was a factory order and he got the card so I'm sure we're eligible too.

I hope so. That totals $500.00 in savings. Some manufacturers even give you free gas for a year. I wonder if GM ever does that.

I got my gas card today when I picked up my Cobalt. On the back, it says it doesn't expire until August 2007, so I've got 2+ years of cheap gas! Plus, there isn't anything to stop you from your friends and/or family from using it on their cars too. Just make sure you keep an eye on the 2500L max limit.

I would also ask about any other deals at the time of delivery, whether by Chevy or the dealer itself. You are entitled to them before you drive off the lot. For example, they offer pull aheads for leases now and then----If a new one comes up before you pickup the car you are entitled to it. As well as other things like the onstar button they had months ago. Chevy is always offering something. After Aug 2 they'll offer something different. Who knows, maybe it's even better than the gas cards!!!!

That's brutal..I picked mine up on the 12th of May..and got nothing. In fact, i got LESS. I was going to take advantage of the GM "Graduate" program where you show them your degree and they give you a $1000 discount. Since I took delivery in may (when my car was actually ORDERED the 1st week of January) the 'grad' offer had since been changed to cover only my first 2 lease payments.

That works out to a discount of about $800....$200 shy of what I was promised. The dealer then goes on to tell me theres nothing he can do and that this is "GMAC's" policy, not the dealers. So offers me Cobalt rubber mats, nowhere near $200 in value, maybe I should ask him to kick in that gas card!

I got an email from Petro-Canada today as I also have their Petro Points card. They're giving me an additional 500 litres at 20 cents off on top of the 2500L that GM is giving. Sweet!
