Hey everyone the Ecotec mega meet is happening again!
Last year was up in Brantford, Thanks to Eric for hosting it in 2018. Now in 2019 this event will happen at Hwy 400 & 7 in Vaughn ON, August 24, 2019. More details to be posted, I will update this thread. Last year had 30+ Cobalt SS, a handful or Cadillac ATS, Chevy Cruise and HHR’s also came out.

I will be looking for a few people to cruise there with from Hamilton, let me know if you’re interested

Did I see you on the QEW by the Ford Plant last Saturday afternoon?
Impressed with that many are still active in the Cobalt community when production had ceased after all these years.

 

I was definitely in the area, I was out and about but I can’t say it was me for sure
Regular weekly meet ups will start soon..... Mother Nature has not been cooperating lately but tomorrow is supposed to be awesome

 

Not sure if anyone caught this on CP24 last week? The OPP and other local cops kick off cracking down on street racing and illegal mods on their cars. I think they charged a lot of the owners with illegal mods at 400/hwy 7 area meet. Just saying, be careful out there. Maybe wise to get together at a more discreet location? PITA if they are to harass you for being out for a nice group cruise/meet. Drive safe.

Change of venue, we are going to have our Ecotec mega meet in Brampton at Limitless Tire 370 Main St North unit 107 we are scheduled to be there from 1-5 Pm Saturday August 24

 

This date really snuck up quickly.

Exit the QEW at the split beside Mapleview Mall, I think it’s Fairview, then make a left onto Fairview, and turn right into the IKEA plaza and park close to where you entered the plaza

 

Parked in the shaded area near the road in front of Ikea. Can't miss me (only yellow car in the whole parking lot )

Wonder with covid Stage 2 if or the number of people allow gather at an out door event in the Peel region?

 

I wouldn’t worry about covid, it’s lost it’s potency. Tell you what, we’ll call our meeting a protest and it’s protected under the charter of rights and freedoms

 

I understand your point mu friend. But no protest from me. Look what happen in the US. I am following what ever the scientists/doctors suggestions. A co-worker from work was infected in Mid March and still has not return to work yet. Yes he is in his early 60's but healthy big burly guy that can kill a bear with his bare hands attitude. He took it lightly and got infected. Too many unknown and the long term health effect from this virus. I can't afford to get sick and be off work without $$ and possibly infect an elderly living with me.
It is a PITA virus but I am looking to be out and do something outside and make the best of this summer with restriction. Mask on ready to go!!
