easy guys....we could only split it if we live close to each other, so only for GTA guys. Basically meet up and tune. It's not just software, you get hardware with the kit too. I was saying two laptop as in loan one if someone wants to take the kit home and tune.

Mike, I know we both don't know **** about tuning but I think we can figure it out. I mean the MAF just fools the ECU in thinking less air is coming in. That's just a parameter you can changed in the ECU. Plus there's enough people with them that can help us out. Ask Ed, Ang, etc???

I'd be interested too, we just have to find out exactly how the software works

e.g: How many cars can we load it on?

This mod is considered a must for me and you know it's gonna take up all your time though

1 computer can be loaded at any given time. So, using 2 is out of the question.
You guys need to read up on www.hptuners.com before you buy this, check this out FAQ about HPTuners credits

"VCM Suite, it ships with 8 credits. You could use these credits to license four LS1 Single vehicles or two LS2 vehicles, or 2 x LS1 and 1 x LS2 etc. If you do not have enough credits to activate the desired license you must purchase and add more credits"

OK so our engine is like the LS1 (I'm assuming) so the package would come with 8 credits meaning we can licence 4 cars, right??

Base Packages
VCM Suite GM Std - $499
VCM Suite GM Pro - $649 (Enhanced I/O)
each additional GM credit - $49.99

Our engine is the LSJ, LS1 and LS2 are camaro and Corvette engines. You should probably look into this a little more before shelling out cash

You totally missed the meaning of my post. You CANNOT load the software on 2 different computers and use them as 1. Its one computer or the other, no sharing of the software that way.
You can have 1 laptop and share that. The key is the actual box and computer, they share a number that the software recognizes. I bought the setup, Pro and I am sharing it with the local guys. I licensed all 06 Cobalts for myself and 3 others (6 credits) and I have 2 left over. I have 2 friends with 05 RL's and I am looking for a third so I can license all 05 RL's. There is one thing, I have the laptop with the software and the cables/box. That means, if they want to change something, my laptop has to be there unless they go to someone else who has the year registered.
Does that make sense..??

I might just buy HP Tuners on my own or hookup with a few others and get the pro version, price is no object here but proper dyno tuning is. I know of a guy that can tune the snot out of any vehicle so maybe we'll alk about it tomorrow at Timmies.

Hooking up with others make a lot more sense to me. Price might not be an issue for you, for someone it will be and to get your car to 250+ hp for around $600 is an awesome realization when its split .

I came up with the hp # this way.
42lb injectors with harness for $210
2.8 pulley $130
bigger tensioner pulley $20.00
HPTuners split 4 ways $175

yea I got your point....two laptops as in I don't need one and it could be just for the HP tuning.
Ok so we would just need to buy some more credits as needed.

Sean, I just want to know how much I have to pay to get my car tuned and retuned if ever needed?

ummmm nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

alrite first off i've played with/used the HP softwear and YES you CAN load the softwear on any computer you want...the softwear isnt the key to the system.

the key to the HP is the cable...that stores the credits and all that jazz.

you can have the softwear on any number of computers you want becasue its the calbe that matters.

and no i'm no mistaken this is 100% correct.

Sean you know I'm all over that, a tune is next on by list of priorities, plus your friend will be able to see the differance between a stage 1 and stock with our cars, witch will help him alot.

to tune your car all you have to do is but the HP softwear.

when you start tuneing it'll register you car's VIN into the hp cable and then your good to go forever!

also you can set it up so you can tune any car that is a certen model year for as long as 1 year.....if that makes sence.

i think i covered every thing.
