can't commit to a sunday meet yet, I'll have to see how the rest of the week goes. Barry who makes your 2.9 I'm thinking of ordering the zzp 2.9 that fits the GM hub.

Fidget, I just saw your sig, when the hell did you get dyno'd I've been thinking about checking out that new place on victoria, but i hear it's kind of crappy. If I decide to get the 2.9 I will probably go there and get it dyno'd before and after just to see what the actual gains are

You know it buddy, you can never have too much power, just not enough traction

Jeff I bought my 2.9 form Nate on ss.net. I think you should buy the pulley that looks exactly like the stage 2. I'm not sure who has that one. But if you want Nate's here's a link....http://cgi.ebay.ca/Chevy-Cobalt-SS-S...QQcmdZViewItem

Cool Ss/sc Newby

Add one more happy SS/SC owner to the K-W area! I just bought mine at Schlueter's in Feb. This is my first car with a manual tranny. I picked it up on a friday night at 5pm. That was an experience! (Rush hour traffic). I was sweating like crazy trying to make it from one stop light to the next! Anyway, my shifting is getting pretty smooth now. I went for the laser blue metalic. I haven't made any power mods yet, but I upgraded the sound system. It turned into a pretty massive project. I did everything myself. I pulled out the seats and carpeting and covered the floor with Dynamat to reduce road and exhaust noise and reduce vibrations from my JL Audio 10w6 sub. I also did the trunk floor. I upgraded the front and rear speakers to Infinity Kappa's. (6.5" components up front and 6 by 9's in rear deck). I used the amps I had in my Sunfire (I totaled it this winter). I have an Alpine MRD-M500 for the sub. It puts out about 570 watts RMS. And for the mids and highs I have an Alpine MRV-F340 4 channel. It puts out 65 watts RMS/channel. I finished it off with an older Alpine head unit and in dash 9 band equalizer. THIS SYSTEM PLAYS CLEAN AND TIGHT AS LOUD AS I CAN STAND IT. I passed another Laser Blue SS/SC at the St. Jacobs roundabout. Was it any of you guys? I might stop by the Powerline electronics show in Guelph on June 9. Maybe I'll see you guys there!

Welcome to the Site/Enthusiast group Revomad1.

We are hoping to get a meet together soon - next week perhaps.

When I first got the car it made me a little nervous shifting as well. Wait until you break your baby in and then you'll be able to start getting some power out of it.

PS FOR SUNDAY

I would like to meet but I might be in Toronto for part of the day. Sunday evening would work well for me cause I'll be back by then. Maybe we could grab some dinner this time?

You know folks, you are more than welcome to use the Ontario based Cobalt website to arrange meets, and such. Who knows, someone there may want to come out too!

www.ontariocobaltclub.com

Come on out, announce your meets, and if they are on a weekly basis, they become a Sticky post on the boards, so they can't be missed by newcomers.

How do I "subscribe" to this thread so I can get e-mail notifications when there are new posts?

Never mind! I answered my own question!

Well, here is your answer, these are the current stats of the site:

Website started on May 21st, 2007, now 18 days old.

4550 Posts in 230 Topics by 86 Members

So, it's been live for 18 days, that means there is an average of...

252.7777 posts a day
12.7777 topics started a day
4.7777 Members joining a day

Seems pretty busy to me... All the Whitby crew and what not are there too. Even Ottawa folks. The Kitchener/Guelph crew in Ontario, is pretty much the only crew not there yet...

Does anyone want to come with me to a meet in Guelph on Sunday??? It's at 7pm at the dettmer tire firestone dealer...we can meet up and go from there...

I was at a Tim Hortons the other day, and I see this ugly ass orange neon driving everywhere, always on the opposite lane then me....his dufus friend was like "That guy has a twin turbo in that neon"....pffffft ya right, like that would fit....so i want to go and check this out...that and the other cars around...if anyone wants to come with me, that would be good...

Also, if i go i feel like an old man creeper, at least with other ppl (Barry) i wouldn't feel so old..hahahahaha....

p.s -- just painted my headlights....mint, i reccommend to all...i got no leaks and the look sweet...

I might be in, I want to see if I can find some BRK7E's today and install them and maybe paint that little cover. I'll check back on here later to see what's going down.
