are those 3k or like 3500-4k? Just wondering because i usually hate yellow fogs and those don't look like egg yolk yellow which i'm accustomed to. A bit more oem looking?

So gonna attempt to do my rear brakes this week when they come in. I don't have much experience with doing brakes so I'm kinda nervous. Will I need the rear caliper tool too compress the piston? Don't wanna get halfway through the job and realize I can't even finish the job.

It's not that bad. A C clamp works just as good with a piece of 1x4 over the piston. Once you do one of them, the others will take half the time!

Be sure to lube your slider pins while you have the caliper off

Or a big channel lock pliers will work too

Iv installed both, both r easy, electrical is easier because u just have to send 2 wires through firewall where ass mech u have to put the boost line through, if u get mech one, get proper vacuum hose for it, the stuff that usually come with is ****, if u kink it, which is very easy to do, it's pretty much gonna read wrong or break.

What type of lube would you recommend? I've heard anti seize is bad because it eats rubber.

After about a 7 year break my father, brother, and I have decided to get back into drag racing.
We wen't down to Utah after finding a car on racingjunk. Hope to see some of you guys out there this summer but I think my cobalt has retired from the track. After just a quick spit in this thing It's just not even comparable.

Thinking of road racing my cobalt this year instead. Still waiting on my wheels and tires then my H&R's will be up for sale if anyone is interested.

I used some white lithium grease. I don't know if that is common practice though

Those Cabs look great Mike! lol
Must feel a lot better now

You're comparing apples to oranges when it comes to your Balt and that nasty ride you guys picked up lol. I don't plan to go to Gimli to be the fastest guy there. I just like to see what my car can do, set some personal goals and perhaps some on here.

But road racing is sweet also! I'd like to hit the road coarse once this year for *****.

Yup Vega wagon,
Your car is going to be a beastly street car Dustin. I expect to get my doors blown off on the highway

I will be running the throttle stop in the 10's for the first while. Car is capable of 8's once the confidence is there.

I've never road raced so I figure might as well try.
This car is praised for it's handling so a XXX bar some star specs and yyz's will hopefully be the ticket.
My current h&r's are a huge handicap when it comes to handling.

Lol if I didn't I'd burn my car to the ground after getting beat.

What's done to the Vega?

Go on stock suspension and rival tires, will get classed lower and dominate

or do suspension work and get dominated by S2K's

Very cool Garret! Looks like a Beast. I say call it Beast Mode! (Lame I know)

Yes my car feels like a whole new beastuntil I get above 100 kph then I still get a shimmy. So I figured my new wheels were out of balance, took it to speed factor as the said they would check the balance out. The balance was fine but looks like my front passenger tire has a wobble while on the machine. So I am taking it back on Friday to get the tire removed and spin the rim by itself to confirm the wheel is fucked, if (when) confirmed they will remount the tire and order me a new rim on warranty/exchange. When it comes in I will get it changed over. **** one thing after another ugh!

Upload a pic on photobucket then just copy and paste the IMG code on here.

Gimli is the last thing on my mind right now lol. I need to get my car running first, make sure all is well with the motor, break it in, head down to Bismarck, ND to get it tuned THEN i'll start thinking about Gimli dates lol. I still gotta grind down my calipers to make my new 15" slick set up fit also.

But I got a bet to win with Jordan so the sooner I can get to Gimli and learn my car all over again the better lol.
