So trifecta thinks it's either a boost leak or injector seals. Since I wanted to upgrade the injectors anyway, probably just get the Opel injectors. And give me a chance to look at my valves

Do you even need to upgrade your injectors on pump gas?

At higher hp probably, but I'm just getting seals, not paying another 300 for tune for new injectors. Cheap enough just to make sure it's not that. Apperently bad seals give the same symptoms I have .

You will probably never need upgraded injectors on pump gas. Did you pull the injectors out when you did the ZFR install?

Nope but I did get a good clue today when I watched my lambda and misfire in full boost. Lambda at full boost is .86-.87 when it starts poping it fluctuates from .84- .94 and every pop produces misfire in cylinder 2 no misfire in any other cylinder

I know on my gms1 tune on husky 94 I get kr in the upper rpms
But with coop 91 I don't.
I can't help but feel the 10% ethanol is enough to screw with the tune if it's not "tuned for" on the hyper sensitive Lnf. My experience anyway...

You don't need upgraded injectors. You need cams first. You will get allot further with the cams. The injectors basically need the larger fuel lobe cams in order to meat fuel demand anyway. Don't waste your money just replace the seals if that's a possibility.

On pump gas between 430-480 (assuming you have cams with fuel lobe)
Sounds like the upgraded injectors are a more reasonable route at that point vs the 5th injector. Unless your going for crazy numbers.

For e47/85 it seems like over 400 seems to be the breaking point.

well I did a boost leak test and found a pretty big leak from the lower map sensor. the screw I used was just to long and was not tightening it down all the way, plus the inside of the hose is scratched decently deep. so I put gasket maker on the oring and cut the screw shorter and no more boost leak. now to test it and see what happens.

I switches em all, same thing. It's not misfire that ud lights up a cel, or throws a code. Just see it on misfire counter when the backfire happens. I think the higher pressure of the zfr probably destroyed an already failing injector seal. This my theory. That's next thing I'm gonna check. As soon as I have new ones come in

Injector seals are definitely a possibility, especially if you are an 08-09.

Dustin, get your motor broken in so we can turn up! 13 psi is depressing any way you look at it lol

compression test nets 155 across the board.

leak down test I guess I should do just to get that out the way.

Now you think your motor is fucked? You're over thinking this misfire issue

You had a bunch of stuff apart. Probably more boost leaks. Have you tested for it?

oh some people are suggesting leakdown test, john powell. but im pretty sure im fine. I did find one more boost leak from a tbolt not being tight enough, checked again after, no more boost leaks. so I bought all the stuff I need to replace injector seals and will go from there.

with the boost leaks gone the misfire and backfire is not as harsh as it was before. still there but not as harsh. oh and I gapped back to .032, definitely lost noticeable power from .028 gap. think ill put my new plugs that are coming to .028. so I guess ill let u all know what happens when I got injector seals replaced.

does anyone know if a new warranty engine comes with fuel rail installed already or no? I didn't see anything on the list of stuff they did and bought on my invoice for when they replaced my motor
