I don't think anyone is, definatly take them out in the winter. They'll prolly wear A LOT quicker being used in -30 temps.

IMO- for the price your going to pay for konis + struts i'd buy coilovers.

There's lots of cars in Winnipeg on coils, just watch for potholes and return to stock for the winter months.

Or, if you really want to save money, i'm selling Canuck Motorsport springs (2"Front 1.8"Rear) and brand new, in box KYB Excel struts. for $360 local.

Now thats 2" front, 1.8" rear for non-SS? Canuck site says 1" front, 1.5" rear, and i know there is a usual difference between non-SS and SS cars.

So, Canuck = SSC?? And $360 sounds brilliant, I'll definately be in touch.

Some of the older guys might remember, the C.A.I that jeff on his car, I bought off him when he sold his car, now, I had it installed last year, till about december/january ish. Don't think you guys remember me posting about it, but my car was throwing a check engline light, and spent 2 weeks at the shop since they didnt know what the cause was, untill the last thing they did was found out, that it was the C.A.I.

They replaced the maf sensors, o2, etc, and they couldnt figure out why it kept throwing the code, untill they figured out it was the intake, so they put it back to stock, and says everything is fine. On sunday I decided to install it again, because I miss hearing the SC sound, and behold, today my check engline light is on again.

So when I installed the C.A.I, am I suppose to reset the battery or anything?? J.P, are you able to read what the code is with your scanner??

From what they told me in the past (I know, its stupid) they said my car is getting to much air.. is the lame, dumb thing they told me, so I stuck to sock cai, till now, which again, after 2 days (since the car was in the shop at Jeff's) Im getting a code again. Please help

what code is it? If the LTFT's go too far out it will throw a code, its probably what is happening to your car. Basically you need a tune.

Chi, Kevin is most likely right.

The extra air makes it light headed. Add some Nos.

for all the time i had that intake on my car i never once got a or any codes on my car...wtf? is it possible it is seated to far up or down the intake pipe ( plastic ) and it is mis-reading the air flow? did you un-hook the plug to the sensor to put the maf back in to the a.e.m.? did you crack the sensor mounts where the screws go? is the sensor not seated corectly on the intake let more air in around it?

i swear mat, i never had a problem with it.you can check cause there was no posts about anything like that.everyone knows when i had a problem i brought to the table here for answers.

you could always try doing the airbox mod and see if the propblem keeps comming back?

take the bottom off you intake and make a bracket so your filter doesnt drop out or grab 1 of the k&n's.

I unhooked the plug to the sensor, and put it back to the A.E.M, I didnt crack it, nor touch it (the chip part) I handled it by the plastic outer piece. and I totally believe you never had a problem with it, as other people have C.A.I and no one has a problem, just me for sum odd reason, hehe, my car seriously has issues from the last little while with weird engine noise, etc.

and previously I did have the airbox mod, and I never threw a code. not sure if you remember me mention about the code around summer time, or early winter when we went for wings the one time, I asked if old oil could cause it :P I believe I got my old K N filter still, Im using the one that came with the C.A.I, its a bit different shape :P

but no big worries, Im not to worried really about it, I just hate seeing that light O.o

so jeff. I saw jp tonight, and Kenny is right, the code is an LTFT, and me and jp. were talking and the reason why you never saw the code, was because you were Stage 2 tuned :P Im not., hence why you never saw the code.

Yup, that makes a lot of sense. The S2 will be tuned to expect more air, while your call will not.

Im hoping J.P can find a fix for it without me having to go back to an air box mod. The whine is so much louder with out it, I love it to much

I was wondering perhaps maybe the filter itself may have something to do with it, since it is a coned shape filter, and its narrower near the bottom... Worth a shot to ask O.o

Matt, Only intakes like that have cone shape filters. so switching filters wont change much. Vince is looking at the logs and ill get back to you, but i feel hes going to say the same thing i told you. Ether go back to stock airbox or start searching around for a GMS2 kit or bigger injectors.
